Lovely accommodations close to bus route. The village and the residents we met were welcoming. Klaas and Marianna are gracious hosts and made our arrival easy through detailed check-in steps and directions. The included breakfast set us off on the right foot as we headed into the city central area. Fully recommend.
We had the best stay at the B&B in Broek. The village was so charming, a lovely place to come and relax after a day in the city. The property was beautiful and the hosts are very hospitable, happy to help with anything we needed. We would love to come back!
This wonderful retreat is perfect for a couple get away. We loved the setting of the beautiful garden and the charming accommodations. Everything was comfortable, clean and inviting. The hosts were very welcoming, engaging, and responsive. Breakfast each morning was delicious, fresh, and served promptly. The quiet village is postcard picturesque. It was a perfect retreat and an excellent location for our visit to the Netherlands.
Klaas and Marianne were wonderful hosts. Village was charming. Bus to Amsterdam was reliable and nearb. A great way to spend the last week of our vacation.we'll be back!
Wonderful and clean garden cottage in the old part of the village . Host is very detail oriented and the breakfast especially was simply amazing 5 star all the way ! 😊
The space is comfortable. The hosts are very responsive. The garden is a relaxing place to sit. A short bus ride and train ride gets you into the central city. I definitely recommend this place for a peaceful stay.
Fantastic 4 days in Broek in Waterlands - perfect stay
Great in so many ways, perfect location beautiful village, easy to explore area and get in and out of Amsterdam. Wonderful helpful friendly hosts. Cosy and comfortable home, great breakfast and lots of extra treats. Highly recommend
Our eight night stay in Broek in Waterland was outstanding. Our hosts Marianna and Klaas are lovely people who provide a wonderful experience in their detached Bed and Breakfast facing a beautiful garden. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious and plentiful. We had coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, croissants with butter and jam, yogurt, fruit meats and cheeses with baquettes. Such a perfect start to our day which often included a scenic ten minute walk to a 15 minute bus ride into Amsterdam. But Broek in Waterland itself was so picturesque as are the other small towns a short drive away. This was a standout visit for us and we highly recommend this B and B at Broek in Waterland. Thank you Klaas and Marianna.

The reviews don’t lie! 15 min away from Amsterdam Centraal by bus, this little house is an oasis of quiet green spaces with modern furnishings. The hosts are excellent communicators and lovely individuals as a whole; I enjoyed retreating to the BnB each afternoon, as well as breakfast the following morning. It was not hard to find and super clean. I look forward to a return!
We loved our stay with Klaas and Marianna - friendly, informative and so helpful. Breakfast was delivered and was delicious. Unit was spotless and had every thing we needed for the stay. The owners are so gracious but not overbearing. We plan on returning . The town itself is easy to navigate plus the bus stop into Amsterdam is just 5 mins away. If you get a chance stay !
We couldn't have imagined how amazing this trip would be for us. Klaas and Marianna are exceptional hosts making you feel like family. The village feels like walking through a storybook with the brick and stone streets, birds chirping and magical gardens. It was a great escape in such a peaceful setting. The people were all so friendly and we feel like we have made new friends. Having a bus stop so close by made traveling into the city a breeze. We can't wait to return and there is no place we would rather stay than Broek in Waterland with Klaas and Marianna.
Klaas and Marianna have a beautiful B&B in Broek in Waterland. A short trip by public transit from Amsterdam, Broek in Waterland was a beautiful little oasis in the Dutch countryside. Amazing hospitality and local knowledge. Klaas gave us a great recommendation for a day trip to Edam - and helped us to get a dinner reservation in Broek in Waterland. Not to mention the delicious breakfasts in the garden every morning. We loved our stay - and couldn’t recommend Bed in Broek enough.
The setting was storybook, the host was warm, welcoming and communicative. The bed was a dream and the breakfast was beautiful. The fresh OJ and jams were our favorite. We would love to return when back in Amsterdam. Thank you!
Bus is about a 8-10 minute walk
City center ranged from 38-55 minutes
What a fabulous experience for our first trip to Amsterdam! From the time I made the reservation to our farewell, Marianna and Klaas were gracious hosts. The private space they created included everything we could ask for to make our stay comfortable. I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast served to us in the private garden! The surrounding village was lovely to explore on foot and the people we met were welcoming and friendly. Marianna was kind enough to make reservations for us at a wonderful local restaurant that we could easily walk to. The availability of Tonnie, a driver arranged for us by Klaas, was a bonus and made our travel around the city so easy and relaxing. You will not be disappointed if you choose these accommodations!
We stayed at Broek in Waterland in October 2024 for part of our anniversary trip. The accommodations were just as listed and it was clean and well appointed. The bed was the most comfortable we had during our visit, they provided beverages and a wonderful breakfast each morning with fresh ingredients. The breakfast was very filling and a great relaxing start to each day. The owners are responsive and friendly. We rented a car while traveling and did not have any trouble with the parking. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, well appointed location near Amsterdam while visiting this is a wonderful location.

Absolutely amazing—which is a must for me!What truly sets this place apart are the hosts, Klaas and Marianne. They are warm, welcoming, and made us feel like family. The sound of the Sunday morning church bells was the perfect final touch. We can’t recommend Bed in Broek enough. It’s a hidden gem that brings together charm, comfort, and authentic Dutch hospitality.
Bed in Broek is absolutely top in class of B and B’s! Klaas and Marianna could not have been lovelier or more accommodating. The property is spotless and offers an oasis away from home. You will be spoiled with the breakfasts. No stone is left unturned to ensure you have the most wonderful stay. We could not have been happier with our choice!!! 10 plus stars and Klaas has the best sense of humor. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was difficult to leave. Thank you Klaas & Marianna😘
After an incredibly long and hard busy season at work, my fiancé and I decided to celebrate his birthday in Amsterdam! We knew we wanted to be close to the city, but stay somewhere that would really let us recharge our batteries and allow us to immerse ourselves in Dutch culture. Klaas and Mariannas stunning cottage was just what we were looking for! Not only was the cottage incredibly cute, and very well maintained, but the garden outside was stunning (even in the winter). Both Klaas and Marianna went above and beyond, helping us make reservations, Giving directions, and making the most delicious breakfast for us each morning. Our stay was more then we could have asked for and we cannot wait to go back!
We had a wonderfully restful and restorative 4 night stay at Klaas and Marianna's BednBroek. Cozy bed linens, comfortable bed, and great blinds made for a fabulous sleep. Fluffy towels were changed mid-stay and the bathroom was very aesthetic with an easy to use shower with high quality soaps. Lovely breakfasts of egg, croissants, jams, juice, yogurt, meats and fruits were brought right to our door at an agreed upon time. We bussed from the city with luggage and Marianna unexpectedly and graciously picked us up from the stop which was so very much appreciated. We hiked into Monnickendam one of the days, passing sheep and horse farms and fields, and had fun eating at the local pancake house in Broek and chatting with the teen staff there. It was very easy to get into Amsterdam on the bus for an evening out. The hosts are lovely people, willing to help with dinner recommendations and reservations for various things and very much respected our privacy. I appreciated the yoga mat that Klaas provided for me! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Penny and John
We stayed here in September for 6 nights and enjoyed our time in this cute little VRBO. It was very clean and we received a breakfast every morning. We especially loved the fresh squeezed Orange Juice. The town is quaint and very quiet. Its great to walk around the town to explore all the styles of houses.
Its a short walk to the bus stop if your planning on going into Amsterdam or other towns which we highly recommend.
There is also a church that is in the neighborhood that sells yummy desserts and a couple of restaurants as well which we were able to try.
Klaas and Marianna where very kind and sweet and we enjoyed our talks when we got the chance to visit. They were open to helping us in anyway they could.
The only thing I wish I had was more space to hang clothes or a small dresser for clothes. We truly hope you don't pass by staying here it truly is a Hidden gem.
Everything was wonderful! Great shower. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was perfect. I would love to visit again! Beautiful little village. Bus stop was a nice little walk from the property. Great access to Amsterdam. Host is very friendly and helpful. Great communication. Highly recommended.
The beautifully decorated cottage is small but perfect for two people. And the gardens are beautiful with a lovely seating to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of the evening. Klaas and Marianne are the best hosts ever. So attentive to every detail from a welcome drink to an exceptional breakfast each morning. The space had every need looked after including travel books, coffee, all the kitchen needs, fully stocked bathroom. It was truly a lovely stay!
