The location of the hotel was great. Our hotel room was clean to the best possible but the hotel is old and not in the greatest condition. We noticed there was mold in our bathroom and that hot water may not be available in the mornings, we had to shower with cold water a few times. The gentleman working on the front desk was very rude during our stay. He was not helpful and displayed a terrible attitude towards the guests for no reason. This was unpleasant and unfortunate. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

The room was a typical neat and modestly sized European room. The staff were above average friendly and helpful. The shops are restaurants are all very close by, as is the train station. As long as you can handle stairs, this place is a great find especially for the price.

The things which are good: 1. Great proximity to train station and the heart of touristy Amsterdam; 2. Price was good. 3. Room was pretty clean; 4. 24-hour front of house and security at the front desk. The things which were less good: 1. The stairs are steep but most hotels have steep stairs; 2. The front desk staff are not all the most pleasant or helpful folks; 3. The common areas are dingy; 3. The shower in my room backed up and flooded while I was in there and caused a huge flood. Staff were not so helpful; 4. Some of the clientele seemed a bit sketchy. Just be aware...

Very tiny room for three people. WiFi never worked the three days I was there. bed frames are too small for the twin mattresses. But the location of hotel was perfect!
