The staff was excellent, we felt welcomed and safe. The hotel is located in a very dense section of Amsterdam with a ton of foot traffic passing by. The front street had a lot of litter every morning. But the Luxor was well maintained. Its an older building so needs some upkeep. It was close to everything and we were able to walk to all destinations. All in all our experience was positive.

Hotel is old but well kept. Close walking distance from central station and trams. There is no heater in room or extra comforter it does get cold. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms are tight but not really a problem. Shower is slippery no mat. Overall good place to stay. Restaurants all over. Would recommend this hotel as you really don’t spend too much time in hotel since Amsterdam is such a beautiful city !!!

Quirky little place just on the outskirts of the Red Light area, but very close to the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

I did not like the light shing in our window all night (room 107). Small room, but did the job. No parking anywhere near the hotel, we had to pay an asrtonomical amount to park at a hotel down the street. Location was great. Staff was nice. Price was fair. Would not stay in that room again due to the light outside the window.

The staff is wonderful!!! They catered to all our needs. It is very clean with coffee and croissants all day. The hotel is in the middle of everything and it is a 5 minute walk from Amsterdam Central train station. No need for an uber anywhere. Loved Romeo,Skye , the wonderful manager!!! They all worked well together. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Staff at The Luxer need a 6/5 rating. Very nice and helpful. Great location close to the Centraal Station and tons of restaurants, yet quiet in the rooms. We will be back

Had a great time at this hotel. Room was quiet even though you are close to everything! Transport links were amazing, shops were great and loads of bars and food places right outside hotel. Had a fabulous stay, staff were amazing and would definitely come back to stay.

It was overall good and as expected… a small, well located, boutique hotel. The morning laundry delivery was noisy at 07:15. It was very clean and the room was well equipped. I would stay again.

I picked this hotel because of its location. It’s close to everything. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have which is why I knocked off a star, is the noise outside which goes on until the wee hours of the morning. I had to use an earplug to drown it out. Other than that, the hotel is good and I recommend it.

We often stay here because it’s so we’ll located for the station, the red light district, great shops and not far to walk to the Jordan area. The hotel is well managed with friendly staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need.

This was a lovely little property. The downstairs cafe is quaint, well kept, and offers some great coffee and drinks. The rooms are a little more on the small side, but still very comfortable. This is a great selection if you're traveling light and just looking for a place to sleep and store stuff while you adventure around Amsterdam (I had 1 large suitcase with me and a backpack). Do not expect to be working in your room as there's not really a desk, but you're able to make use of the tables downstairs quite nicely. The location is EXCELLENT. Across the way is a fantastic little Mexican restaurant called Fiona, and there's PLETNY of shops all around you. You're also a short walk from Centraal station, and if you enjoy a great cup of coffee, Eastwood Coffee is directly next to Centraal. You're essentially located right in the middle of everything and even just a block away from the Red Light District if that's your thing. The staff were super nice, the location is very safe (door buzzer only) and the staff were super friendly. They even provided a really great small gift bag as thanks. Will definitely be coming back here.

Great location and reasonable rates
This was a great place to stay while in Amsterdam. While the hotel is small and older, it's location to the train station and restaurants can't be beat. The train station is about a five minute walk and there lots of different and reasonable place to eat. We were also able to walk to the close by harbor for canal boats rides and to go to visit the Anne Frank house. For a reasonable room rate and friendly and helpful service...this a good place to stay!

If you have a room in the front of property it is impossible to sleep for the noise in the street. We got this hotel unknowing that was in the middle of red zone. The room was ok, close to central station. Not 4 star under our view.

This hotel is a great location. Close to central station. Walking was very easy to get to everything. The staff was friendly & helpful. We had what we called the penthouse suite, it was the only room on the fourth floor.
