Amsterdam Farm Lodge: Ground floor apartment

Experience this 'off the beaten track' accommodation on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Amsterdam Farm Lodge offers a spacious and comfortable place to stay in a unique setting, within the urban farming project NoordOogst. It is a peaceful place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, while Amsterdam city centre is still within easy reach.

Welcome to our spacious ground-floor apartment, suitable for up to six people, excluding babies. The apartment is particularly suitable for families and is located in a child-friendly environment. We try to make thoughtful choices when renovating, furnishing and maintaining the lodge. Where possible, we have reused second-hand furniture and materials, giving them a second life.

Inside, you'll find two bedrooms with two single beds each, as well as a cosy box-bed room with space for two people. In the living room, the sofa can be converted into a double bed (160 cm). The apartment also has a spacious living and dining area, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a functional kitchen equipped with the essentials. We do not offer luxury, but you can expect a comfortable and practical apartment with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Families are very welcome. Baby cots, high chairs and a changing mat are available on request.

The entire apartment is private and exclusively for your use. It is located in a building with seven other holiday apartments.

Outside, you can enjoy the sunny terrace and the shared outdoor space. There are picnic tables where you can relax, while our free-roaming chickens may occasionally come by to investigate.

Everyone is welcome at Amsterdam Farm Lodge. We ask all guests to respect our accommodation, our team, fellow guests, the animals and the people working on the NoordOogst urban farming project.

Please note that Amsterdam Farm Lodge is not a party venue. We have a strict no-drugs and no-rude-behaviour policy.

The gardens around the lodge are managed without pesticides. We allow parts of the grounds to grow more naturally, which creates space for plants, insects and other wildlife. As a result, the gardens may look a little 'wild' and you may encounter insects.

Because of the surrounding water and vegetation, mosquitoes are common during the Dutch summer. Occasionally, a small animal may also find its way into an apartment despite our best efforts. We recommend keeping food properly stored to avoid attracting wildlife.

Our chickens roam freely around the premises. They are harmless and may approach guests out of curiosity. You may occasionally find some chicken droppings on the terrace – it is, after all, part of staying at an urban farm.
