Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Angelo was home to greet us, he thought of everything to make our stay special. It’s location was convenient to the train station after a long day of travel with a walkable location to everything. The A/C was a bonus to help in a bustling city.

Our host, Angelo, was phenomenal. He spent time with us as check-in to explain his property and its amenities in detail and ensure us he was available if needed. We had a very pleasant stay close to everything. The location was great, and Angelo’s hosting touches made it even better. How lovely to stay in a 300-year-old building with all its charm and still have modern amenities. We didn’t even mind that there is no lift and the rooms are on the third floor. We would stay there again!

Angelo provides an excellent place to stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable for Amsterdam and the room was well equipped with snacks, waters, and other needed amenities. The narrow stairs are a part of the experience, just be aware if you have issues. The location is good. We didn’t have any smell issues with the “coffee shops” nearby which was a welcome reprieve. Angelo is an excellent, helpful host. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanting a centrally located, clean, comfortable, authentic stay in Amsterdam.

Host was super nice! He gave us a tour of the room when we got there, gave us drinks and snacks. He also gave us a map and told us about all the fun tourist things to see and do. He was extremely nice about checking in early and also checking out late too. He responded super quick to my messages. Exceptional host and would definitely come back again if I stay in Amsterdam in the future! Also the room is very cozy and easy access to everything a tourist would wanna see!

Great location in central Amsterdam. Very friendly and helpful host (Angelo). Our room was so quiet we heard no noise from the street and it was very spacious and had everything we needed for relax. The snacks and complimentary goods in the fridge were a very nice touch. If we ever come to Amsterdam again we wouldn't hesitate to book this place.

It's up a steep flight of stairs, which we had no problem with. Others might. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. There was plenty of food on offer. The host was friendly and helpful. Location near train station proved useful. Longish walk to museums or an easy tram ride. Lots of shopping, bars, and restaurants in the area.

We stayed at the Crown Guesthouse for 5 nights in September, 2026 and had the room facing the street. The room and the bathroom are fairly large and the bed is comfortable. The room is equipped with a portable A/C unit, a TV, a coffee/tea corner, and a fridge, which was great. The owner, Angelo, is very helpful. He keeps a fridge stocked with all kinds of goodies in the hallway for the guests, which contains fresh fruit, various cheeses, yoghurt....etc. There is also a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, and granola bars for guests to make their own breakfast, or snacks during the day. We really liked this property, particularly it's privacy and very convenient location, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and sights. However, there are two things that anyone considering this property should know: the rooms are located on the third floor of an old building and the stairway is quite steep and narrow. If you have even moderate mobility issues, this could pose a problem, although Angelo will assist hauling your luggage if you need help. Also, the street is fairly noisy at night, albeit we appreciated the earplugs Angelo provided. So, in summary, we really liked it here, as we do not have mobility issues and kind of enjoyed watching the activities that went on at night on the street. We would stay here again.
