The Grade I listed All Saints Church in Northampton town centre dates back to the late 1600s. Whilst most of the church was burnt to the ground in the Great Fire of Northampton on 20th September 1675, the medieval tower and crypt remain, and the re-built church (opened in 1680) mimics the style of Sir Christopher Wren's buildings in London. Architecture and history fans will enjoy exploring the interior of the church, and most town centre chain hotels and serviced apartments are within easy walking distance of this popular landmark.
If you’re looking for affordable accommodation close to All Saints Church, you will find a range of hotels to choose from in Northampton. Budget two star chain hotels, luxury four star hotels, independent hotels and even serviced apartments are all available – it really depends on the type of stay you're looking for. Breakfast at your hotel before heading out to see the stunning architecture of All Saints Church, then head to the high street for lunch and an afternoon of shopping; don't miss the local market which is one of the oldest in the country.
Serviced apartments are a great way to enjoy the sights of Northampton whilst remaining independent. Families in particular enjoy the facilities on offer at Northampton's serviced apartments, which include free WiFi, parking, TVs and well-equipped kitchens, where you can prepare meals for the whole family or just a picnic lunch. For families or groups of friends on a budget, self-catering apartments offer excellent value for money.
If you get bored of dining at your hotel restaurant or preparing your own meals at your apartment, Northampton has plenty of dining establishments to choose from. Coffee and cake at cosy cafés in the town centre is a must in the afternoon, before enjoying a family meal out in one of the many independent bistros and restaurants or grabbing a quick bite to eat at a town-centre pub. Most hotels in the town serve breakfast and many have their own bar, where you can enjoy a nightcap before heading up to your room after a day of exploring Northampton.
