Lovely stay (eventually) had a hiccup on the first night when someone had taken our room before we arrived! (Not good when arriving late at 9pm and just wanting to get settled)! Good location, close to shops and ideal for a stopover when continuing a longer journey. The room was clean, and the additional, very clean toilets just outside our room were handy. Access to a washing machine and tumble dryer was also a bonus. The only disappointment was the lack of communication about a room change. We excellent stay overall. Can't really rate staff as saw no staff. Room large and spacious.

The Hotel staff are very welcoming and gave all additional information and advice about trips when asked for.Breakfast was continental and good quality but no hot food.We had a rental car so cannot comment about transport facilities. Overall a very good stay. The gym is an added bonus.

A lot of reviews mentioned the hotel having a poor location. For us (appreciating that we are able to walk and others may not be able to), the location wasn't a problem at all. It took us 30 minutes to walk to the sun voyager/ to the centre of town and was no issue. We did go in late Feb and there was a little bit of snow/ice on the paths - I can see how it might be more difficult in December/ Jan. Fantastic hotel in a superb location. Service is excellent and the bagel shop and Le Kock are fab. Got to try the garlic and parmesan potatoes in Le Kock and the smoked salmon bagels are out of this world! Location is fantastic for both the town and for the whale watching/Northern Lights. Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. Lovely local hotel, great room and the food was wonderful.

Lovely hotel, clean and well maintained. Staff were superb! Although there is not a restaurant in the hotel (just an excellent breakfast) there are several restaurants within a hundred metres of the front door. Location is not central but taxis available within a couple of minutes to take you downtown. We chose it for both price and close proximity of the cruise terminal.

Had a smooth check in/ checkout experience. Supermarket is just 400m away. Had an awesome stay

This hotel was great value for money - out of the busy city centre but easily connected by bus (about 10-15 mins). Most of the main tours did hotel pickups from here so if you are planning on using day trips, its very practical. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely, small hotel. Rooms modern, stylish, very warm and wonderfully clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was too big or small for their kind attention, efficient. Continental breakfast plentiful and fresh, tea and coffee available in small but stylish lounge 24/7. I want to go back in the summer and will book this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.

Comfortable and clean hotel in a good location, within easy walking distance of the harbour and town, and a few minutes away from the bus stop for excursion pick ups. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

All the staff were Great answers all our questions.Our Hotel room was a nice size & clean.Breakfast was fine wished the Orange Juice would have been freshly squeezed rather than out of a machine. We went on a few Trips that were Fantastic like the Flyover theatre & The Perlan Museum that we both Enjoyed. Iceland is an expensive place to visit. Eating out was pricey The Taxis were very Expensive
