"The staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The cleaning was excellent and I really enjoyed the food. I would say there could have been more vegetable options. Some nights it was great, with asparagus, broccoli, peppers etc but other nights there were a lot of potato varieties and limited veg. At breakfast I found a lot of the pastries and waffles were quite dry but it did save me some weight gain! I was a bit annoyed that it says there is an airport shuttle and when I asked about it, it was over 90 euros yet when I got a regular taxi, one way it was only 81 and the other way 70 something so I’m not sure what they are providing that warrants the extra cost when I was already paying around £200 a night for a very basic room. They commented that next year guests will be required to pay to use the kimena pool, this was the nicer pool with a nicer temp whereas the the other pool is very small and freezing so that would put me off staying there again. Again, why are the basic rooms priced so high if you can’t even have the facilities included. Overall I enjoyed my stay but I have stayed in nicer hotels for a similar price. Hector who worked in the bar was lovely and made a mean espresso martini! Shout out for being so friendly and kind."

"Good hotel in a great location. Minutes from a lovely sandy beach. Turquoise sea. The apartment was very good. Everything you need. We had a corner location with a wrap around balcony giving both a sea and a lake view. Evening buffet was varied and tasty. Staff were very helpful. We can't wait to go back."

"The hotel is immaculately clean. All staff are pleasant and helpful. Meals are varied and plenty of choices for all diet requirements/preferences. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the hotel outwith the dining room and no kettle in the room. You cannot have a cup of tea when arriving late or leaving early. I was in a single occupancy room and the traffic noise from very early morning until late was loud and not relaxing even when wearing earplugs."
Alcanada Golf Hotel

"I am so glad I stayed. I don’t play golf and I didn’t see the golf green at all. I loved to location. Not near a sandy beach but extremely close to a pebble beach. Nice little park right next to it. At first I was hesitant about their breakfast but I was blown away from the quality of it. As there aren’t walkable cafes, it was the perfect choice. Very tranquil hotel."
