  • Welcome to Casa Estrellas: a private 3-level home inside Gran Bahia Principe Residences (Tulum Country Club), a gated 5-star resort between Akumal and Tulum. The whole house is yours: private pool, two hot tubs and a rooftop terrace above the jungle.

    THE HOUSE
    - 4 bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, A/C and TV (3 king beds + 1 queen, memory foam mattresses)
    - Sleeps 8 in beds, up to 12 with air mattresses our concierge sets up
    - Double-height living room, dining for 8 and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, ice maker, reverse-osmosis drinking water)

    GOOD TO KNOW
    - The house is on the residential side of the resort, not on the sand: the beach club is a short drive or shuttle ride away.
    - We strongly recommend renting a car. There is no Uber in Quintana Roo.
    - Groceries and cleaning supplies are not included. There is a 7-Eleven at the resort exit and supermarkets nearby.
    - Resort entry is by QR code for every registered guest, so please include everyone (kids too) in your booking.
    - Check-in 3 pm with self check-in (keypad). Check-out 11 am.
    - No smoking indoors, no pets, no parties.

    Our local concierge is available on WhatsApp during your stay, and after booking we send you our guide with restaurants, tours, private chef and golf tips. We speak English and Spanish. We would love to host you!

Corporate Nightmare

I'll start with the positive- the house was clean and modern. Rogelio responded when we reached out with problems. As for the rest. It was misrepresented as being close to the beach- it is a 10 minute drive or 45 minute walk. Nothing was provided. We had to buy our own toilet paper! The water is not potable and they did not provide any water until we asked for it, after we went and bought some. The Bahia Principe restaurants were all terrible. It took us 15 minutes to get into the gate at one of the sites, even though we had all the correct codes and such. Only one towel was provided for a 2 week stay. No maid service is provided. We had some elders with us who could not use the pool because the steps are 2ft. high. The hot tub was dirty and didn't function properly. When we were at a restaurant on the grounds- Jool Bolom, they came by with a pesticide truck and sprayed a cloud of pesticides into the restaurant and all over us and the food! Major construction going on right next to the house. We had a elder with us and nothing is handicap friendly. We have been renting in Cancun and Playa almost every year for the past 40 years, and this was the worst experience we have had. Run, don't walk away from this corporate nightmare!

The area was excellent. We recommend renting a golf cart. The pool was amazing. The landscape could have been cleaned better. There was also construction everyday on the property right beside us…with concrete dust and styrofoam from concrete framing…it could have been better but was definitely ok, to visit. It was nice. It was clean.

Great stay

A few things to know about this house: the top level is only accessible via a spiral staircase which make it very difficult to carry bar b que items up and down. The bedroom on the pool level is accessible via the garage and not part of the house also very small.

Leo, the owner and Rogelio, the caretaker were instantly available and pro-active.The home is large and in reasonable condition. The owner did some maintenance while we were there which was just fine with no disturbances and which we very much appreciated after completing.Nice 4 bdrms for a large group. We were 8 for 2 of the 4 weeks. The pool, maintained daily by Rogelio was crystal clear and much used.The Tulum Country Club is a fantastic community, especially if you’re golfers. The golf course is the real deal.Across the highway are the Bahía Príncipe resorts and the Kay Beach Club. A all inclusive day pass is great as is just going to the Kay Beach Club.There is ample to do just I. These 2 spaces. We rented 2 4-seater golf carts and and very good access to TCC and the beach amenities. We love the area and community so much we are looking to buy a home.

Family Vacation

We came with our daughter and her family. This house was perfect for us. We had plenty of room to spread out and the grandkids loved the pool. The restaurants in the developement were delicious. We bought the day passes to the resorts across the hioghway. You'll definitely want to rent a car for your stay if you plan to leave the resort area or travel across the highway to the sister resorts. It's not very expensive and makes your stay much more enjoyable. Driving around Tulum is pretty easy and safe. We ventured over to Xel-Ha and Akumal beach a few times. If you're a golfer you'll love the course. Overall, the house was clean and comfotable. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.We'd stay there again if we choose to go back to Tulum. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous and spacious house in Akumal!

The house was awesome for our whole family. It was very clean and well appointed, the beds were all comfortable and each room had its own bathroom and AC to control. The security system on the house was very state of the art and the overall access to the resort was closely controlled but very easy to navigate as a guest. Our host was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We had a few questions about the water tank, which emptied out a couple of times during our stay, but was quickly corrected. The location of the house was very good. The neighborhood is full of gorgeous houses, we enjoyed looking at the new ones being built. The resort amenities, Kay beach club and golf were all great and easily accessed. I would definitely recommend staying at this house and would do so myself next time I return. Thank you!!
