Fantastic home for a large group or family

We loved our stay in Akumal. The property is clean and well maintained. The layout of the home is perfect for a large group and the outdoor area is wonderful. Our family enjoyed our entire week from the delicious meals, the easy access to Akumal Bay and the spacious rooms that gave everyone space to relax and enjoy.

Bachelor party

Had a group of 14 guys for a bachelor party. The house was plenty big and spacious for all of us. The chef and food was excellent! The pool was huge and a great gathering spot for the group. All the rooms were big and had nice views of the bay. Would highly recommend this house.

Excellent for a large family

It was a very nice property. It would have been nice to have one common area air conditioned. We had some issues with the bar tending the first night....as she didn't get there till after 8:30 pm. But after that it was fine. We thought the food was very good but not quite enough a few times. But the chief was very accommodating. There was one room that the AC was never completely repaired. The pool was great and all the extras that went with it. We had a ton of good pictures but just none on my email.

Beautiful Villa

We are a binational family of 23 guests from Mexico and the U.S., ranging in age from 2 to 88 years old, who stayed in Villa Bellamar in January 2024. We had a great time. The house is beautiful. The staff are incredible (housekeepers, groundskeepers, and cooks). The location is safe and secure. The grounds are well maintained with pool, jacuzzi, and beach. While the ocean floor is rocky, they provide water shoes, and the bay is shallow and protected by a reef. As noted by others, be sure to bring several thousand dollars in cash for the food, drinks and tips, depending on how much your group eats and drinks. We had an incredible stay at this beautiful vacation villa right on the beach in the heart of the Riviera Maya.

FIVE AND A HALF STARS!!!!

This was by far the best vacation, and the chefs Roger and Pedro made it that way! We were undecided about whether or not we wanted a chef, but SOOOO happy we did request them. Every meal was delicious (we had a couple of chefs in the group, so we are picky!)Fresh fruit, granola, best pico de Gallo, homemade sauces, fresh juices, we were spoiled. And this is all very reasonable as far as cost. The villa was GORGEOUS! Each room had its own bathroom plus an extra one on each floor. The cleaning staff was great, every day they cleaned. The grounds were kept pristine. Honestly cannot find anything to plain about. If you have the chance, definitely hire the Mariachi band!!! That was a night nobody will ever forget!!

Family Reunion

Wow! This property was amazing. We loved it. Our family of 27 had plenty of space and the kids loved it. We had plenty to do and Felipe made it super easy. He was very responsive to my questions and greeted us when we arrived. We also had an amazing chef, Roger and his staff and they cooked all our meals and everyone was more delicious than the other. The kids called it a "mansion" and loved it. Miguel picked up fresh coconuts from the trees everyday and we had fresh coconut water. So fun. We loved the pool, hot tub, kayaks, beach area with toys and loved the playroom upstairs with ping pong, air hockey and foosball. We didn't even turn on the TV. I don't even know if it was in Spanish or English. Too many activities to do and it was great to not watch any television for the week. Thank you so much. I do want to say that the pictures do not do it justice. It's even more beautiful in person.

Sixteen Business men.

We have been going down to Akumal since the late 90's with owners of like business in the US. In the past we have rented several condos in half moon bay. This is the first time we have rented a large facility. It was perfect for all of us. We had 3 father and sons. So they were able to stay in the same rooms. The 13 bedrooms was perfect. Felipe was a great host. The instructions of getting from the airport to Villa Bellamar was great for the few that had never been to Akumal before. The chef Antonio Sosa and his team did a great job. The meals were great. Letting them do the shopping for food and drinks was a time saver for us. We had all of our meals in house except one lunch at Lo-ha. That was for old time sake. We would have our meetings at Lo-ha in the past. The large table in Villa Bellamar was great for the meetings. Having a place like this, we got more done than ever before. Please thank the entire staff for us. They made this effortless for us. Thank you,

10/10 Bachelor Party (16 guys)

We had a group of 16 guys stay at this property in Akumal and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff and logistics were a big part of what made the trip so seamless and enjoyable.Edwin was our main chef for the weekend, along with an assistant. They did a fantastic job preparing meals for our large group and clearly understood how to cook for 16 hungry men. The fridge was always stocked, and the supply of Gatorades was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.We coordinated the food and groceries through Antonio, who runs the chef service. He was professional and easy to work with—he purchased all the groceries (including beer), provided receipts, and didn’t charge any markup. It was incredibly convenient.Rocio was our main point of contact on-site. She was responsive throughout the weekend via WhatsApp, helping us communicate with the chef team and troubleshoot anything that came up. She made everything easy and straightforward, and our full cash deposit was returned without issue.Felipe is the senior property manager. While we didn’t meet him in person, he played a big role in coordinating things leading up to the trip, and everything was well-organized when we arrived.The security guard at the property was friendly and stayed outside for the duration. Highly Recommend!

Great Stay on the Beach

Accomodations were excellent and as presented. The reef off the coast really is great for snorkling. We had paddleboards delivered for some additional fun, but kayaks and life vests were available at the house. Felipe was excellent to work with and easy to communicate with.

Incredible Beach Stay In Akumal

This place was perfect for a bachelor party of 23 guys. Felipe & Rocio (covering for Fernando) were very helpful and courteous. The chef staff (Jorge and Ernesto) were incredibly accommodating and every meal was delicious and plentiful. The property itself is amazing in all aspects and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to other groups looking for their own slice of paradise catered personally to them!

Relaxing, Beautiful, and Convenient

Villa Bellamar was exactly what we needed, and more! The entire building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the common areas have everything you would need. Between the pool, the jacuzzi, and the beach, we were outside for most of our stay, and it couldn't have been better! The staff was helpful, friendly, and great at what they do! This is a perfect spot for a trip to Akumal or Tulum. Highly recommend!

Perfect in every way!

We stayed here with 20 adults and 3 kids. The property is perfect for a family gathering. It was much nicer than the pictures show. The house staff and the Chefs were incredible. They did everything they could to make sure that our stay was an enjoyable and memorable experience. My family, which flew in from all over the US, and who all travel extensively, commented that this was the best vacation ever! Fernando, Felipe and all of the staff were responsive, accommodating, friendly and did whatever they could to ensure a great time!!! Do yourself a favor and book this place.

70th Birthday

We just returned from a fabulous week in Akumal at Villa Bellamar! The property was perfect for our 22 guests with its spacious and comfortable 13 king room suites. The pool, beach, hot tub and outside lounging areas were perfect. The staff kept the property spotless and provided us with all the comforts we needed during our stay. I cannot say enough about Chef Antonio and his staff - the food was world class. The house manager Filipe was attentive and always available to help with extras. If on doubt rent this property - you will not be disapponted!

Great Group House

We came here with 15 people for a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. We hired a bartender and had the chef staff the whole time. Everyone was amazing! Highly recommend having a bartender if you have a large group. The snorkeling off the beach was great (we regularly dive in the Caribbean and Mexico). Would definitely go back here! You have to pay everyone in cash so bring $6k-8k if you’ve got a big group. Went to Tulum one night and that was a fun time.

Family memories

We had an amazing time on our family vacation. The accommodations were gorgeous. Our group ranged from 2 years old up to 90 and everyone had an amazing time. Felipe was great and answered all of our questions and made everything smooth. The staff were great as well. We can’t say enough about the chefs Alfredo and Elmer they were amazing and took very good care of us. The food was also great and they made the best churros. We wanted them to come home with us. I would definitely love to come back and would recommend anyone looking to stay this is the place! Thank you again for your care and great service!!!!

I’d return!!

This property, Fernando and the staff were amazing. They felt like a support team for a vacation. If problems came up they were on it!! Really great house, lots of room, pool and out door spaces to enjoy. Not to mention the roof top for our sunrise meditations. I’d go back and I appreciate all the hard work Fernando and the staff puts into making the experience flawless. Thank you so much! I’d really recommend this place!! Loved it! Best vacay ever!

This was a trip long overdue based on the global shutdown in 2020. The property manager was so accommodating and allowed us to reschedule for the same time in 2022. Our trip was well worth the wait and the entire stay was simply phenomenal for our group of 16 sorority sisters celebrating 27 years of sisterhood! With everything in place we were able to fully unplug and enjoy great fellowship and spirits amidst the beautiful villa and surroundings and the delightful cuisine prepared by their amazing chef! Don’t hesitate to book Villa Bellamar - we are still talking about our trip weeks later! Thank you for these memories of a lifetime:-)!

Amazing Place and People the Best Luxury Vacation

Amazing Place, amazing people, the best luxury vacation experience" We stayed last december at Bellamar. It was an amazing experience. The property is out of this world. The property is completely new, with great spaces for every moment of the day (jacuzzi on top of the pool, pin pon table, foosball table, huge pool, pool bar, etc.) The house is designed in a way where you are able to see the sea from every space in the house, even from the shower!. And the service team is incredible, they did everythihng in their power for us to have an amazing time. I strongly recommend Bellamar. It is one in its kind, I had never before stayed at such a nice property.

I think I could have booked better. Knowing the amount of people to have all of the rooms bedded properly would have been better for us. There may need to be better water heaters as we had 29 people in our party but it was very hot weather so it was not bad. Loved the vIEws and the housekeeping and the chefs. No complaints and the experIEnce lived up to what I expected from the listing!!
