The Stirling Highland Hotel

8/10 Good

"Enjoyed our stay as it was conveniently situated. Some aspects of the hotel were tired and needed some attention such as the bathroom in the bedroom and the gym. Lighting was poor in the bedroom and the bed (2 x singles put together) was lopsided. Staff were friendly. The bar was quite cold so we took our drinks down to the reception area which had comfy chairs and was warmer. Needed to pay £10 a day parking as I’d booked through a third party rather than directly with the hotel. Overall however, none of these things would put me off staying here again."

Richmond Park Hotel

"Nice location if you have a car. Parking is free and there's plenty of space. Edinburgh airport and city, the bridges and the Kelpies are a short drive away. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Service is good. There is a pub and a restaurant on site, and the food is good. A petrol station with a convenience store is just around the corner. On the downside, some rooms are difficult to reach with heavy luggage (up several flights of stairs in narrow corridors), and the wifi signal is very weak there. Nevertheless, it's great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again."

"Really the o my reason I am not giving it five star was the moldy grout n the shower. Everything else was pretty good. Kind of a fun and funky vibe to it. Staff were very helpful when I asked to check in hours early. Bed and pillows very comfortable. They control the heat and the room was quite warm. They recommended turning off the heat entirely and opening a window which I did and was quite comfortable. Well lit…. And surprisingly quiet for an airport location. If you don’t mind a little mold I can highly recommend."

"The staff were friendly and mostly helpful. However, I had told them i was unable to walk far and unable to climb stairs. Whilst there were no stairs, we were on the top floor and as far away from the restaurant and reception as possible. They couldn't get a different room."
