"Breakfast"

"Air conditioning was weak, we woke up a few times hot. The room was stuffy and dated. It’s not a luxury experience, it was average. The rest of the hotel was lovely and the food was excellent. Wouldn’t come and stay again but would eat here."

"Great location, magnificent whisky selection (priced sensibly), wonderful staff but tired and creaky rooms. Our room arguably had the noisiest floor I've ever walked across, and I'm sure that no-one in the rooms either side or below would have missed my nightime bathroom excursion. Furniture was traditonal but scuffed and in need of a fair bit of TLC. The hotel is staffed frugally, with only one young girl visible anywhere at any one time. Delightfully friendly and a grafter though, and everpresent, being there for check-in, evening bar service and check out. "

"Stay was nice, hotel you can see it would need renovation, although the room was clean and bed comfy, Sofa bed is not fit for purpose as you can feel the iron slabs…. Breakfast food was poor, not very good quality, coffee machine was at a breaking point and coffees were really bad. Could not drink it. Bar staff were nice. I would not use it again."

"Most rooms do not have AC and that was concerning and a bit of an issue. Otherwise Ken was very helpful at the desk and Sarah did a great job in the bar."
