Beautiful building right in the centre of town with quite a bit of parking . Big comfortable room. Everything was high quality. Only problem was the heat in the room was 28/29 when i came back at midnight and I couldn't operate the thermostat to make a difference.....

Just got back from a 2 night stay. Absolutely charming place to stay staff were so friendly and helpful. So close to the Center just a brief stroll down the lane would definitely come back to stay again. The dog loved it too

Our room in the square block (we’d seen the unnecessary negative reviews before we’d arrived) behind the pretty white main house, came as a very pleasant surprise. The room was newly furnished, to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Positive feedback….great for one night, but a little more storage or even a couple more wall hooks to pop coats and hang towels etc are needed. The real added bonus was the lovely warm pool, hot, hot-tub and steam & sauna rooms, just perfect, when you’ve been...

The house is lovely, the owners are very welcoming, the village is very pretty and the local pubs and curry house are great.

Fantastic stay in the cottage - immaculately presented room with loads of space and a very nice selection of snacks. The staff in the Inn were incredibly welcoming and made for a totally relaxed break. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough

We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!

Absolutely lovely stay at The Royal oak. Beautifully decorated throughout, with a really warm and homely feel. Staff were welcoming, dinner and breakfast were first-class and my room was spotlessly clean with a great bathroom and comfy bed. Would definitely return, I stayed for work but it would be a lovely place for a weekend away.

Amazing service, the staff couldn’t be more helpful

Amazing little hotel in a back street, very clean and comfortable, we arrived early to drop our bags of as we had a tour later but our room was already available so they let us use the room straight away. Hardly any noise from other guests although there was a busy pub opposite the noise was minimal. Staff very polite, 20 minute walk to Oxford City Centre. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
