A little gem! Hospitable, great food, well stocked bar, comfortable bed and a good shower. Parking a little sketchy if you're arriving after dark, but a good welcome, clear instructions and helped up the stairs to my room. Dog welcome too (no charge). Simon the landlord is the proper English gentleman, the pub is a well-established proper English pub, and I'd thoroughly recommend a stay here for a reasonably (sensibly) priced base if you're visiting this part of the world on holiday or on...

Stayed for just one night but really liked this property even though it was maybe a little expensive for just a 'room only' stay. Beautiful location in the private grounds of an old rectory surrounded by well kept gardens. Parking was in the grounds nearby and felt very secure. The check-in and arrival instructions were excellent, wi-fi connection was good and the room was clean with complimentary toiletries and coffee/tea. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. Free onsite parking for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Have stayed here quite a few times now and definately recommend.

We loved the feel of the place , it was like been on holiday sitting outside in the courtyard drinking freshly made coffee . The staff went above and beyond and were very helpful and friendly . We will be going back .

We just required a room for the night on our travels. We did not expect this lovely self contained unit with kitchenette microwave toaster kettle and fridge along with 2 televisions and great wifi. It was great!! If you get there when the centre is closed as we did you will get a text to collect your key from a key safe on the wall. Disabled double room was no bigger than a normal double room. Manoeuvring a wheel-chair around the foot of the bed was difficult and meant squeezing past the TV stand. Could not get wheel-chair along side of the bed, so had to use the other side. Shower/WC room too small to use washbasin from wheel-chair without it sticking out into the bedroom and unable to close bathroom door. Similarly lack of space made it impossible to use WC without wheel-chair sticking out into the bedroom and unable to...
