One of the most beautiful places I've seen so far in Basel! Wish I knew German so I could learn more about this place!
The Basel Paper Museum. A fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Basel. Great for couples or families. The museum walks you through the history of paper making, writing, printing and book making. You can make your own paper, try calligraphy, try marbling and use a typewriter and printer. The hosts at the museum speak English, French and German. There are people on hand to explain everything as you go. There's a working waterwheel and the museum produces paper gifts for the shop. A must for anyone who loves stationary, craft, paperwork, graphics, printing and fonts.

Very good sized room, very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Staff very friendly. Hotel a little dated and no mini fridge. Wifi connectivity intermittent also. Overall would recommend as a great choice for a hotel in Basel close to the train station. Would stay here again.
