Staff were amazing, great facilities. Food lovely. Liked the fact they had jugs of fresh water located at the front entrance and within relaxation room unlike most hotels who would push a sale on bottled water. Relaxed atmosphere great rooms with arran aromatic after the rain toiletries.. Bliss 💕

The room was very clean, and a 5 star review for all the little extras/ little touches. A little jar of oat milk in the fridge was appreciated for my teas/coffees and also being vegan there was biscuits I could eat. The bed was comfy, and the location is lovely - lovely views of the loch and great location for local hiking and the botanical gardens. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Wonderful greeting and welcoming from Darren and Karen. Perfect instructions, their local knowledge and enthusiasm and love for the area is limitless. The accommodation is superb, location is very central to some of the most historical and beautiful, silent areas.The choice of breakfast? ..I guarantee you wouldn’t get the choice of cereals, jam’s etc anywhere else.. A lovely stay. Helen was warm and welcoming on my arrival. The room and en suite bathroom were exceptional and the addition of a small fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water was a lovely touch. There were plenty of sockets and the and those on the bedside drawers also had usb ports which were extremely useful. The only adjustment I would have liked is that it would have been nice to have 4 pillows on the double bed rather than 2 pillows placed in the centre! Overall a lovely stay and...

We were going to a wedding nearby,we contacted the hotel to see if we could check in early so we could get ready as we traveled a distance, the staff could not be more helpful,they had the rooms ready for us perfect, lovely staff and a lovely hotel.will definitely visit again.

Stayed at Knockderry House several times and again this time April 23 it was as fab as ever. Love this hotel. Beautiful location. Absolutely stunning food. Lovely staff. Lovely room. Cant fault it. Cant wait to return again.

A great room in a fantastic location. Absolutely superb service by all the staff that we came across. We were, however, disappointed by the truncation of the menu - no beef/venison on the main menu - and we had been so looking forward to trying both. The staff told us that this was because the hotel was about to shut down for the winter. Such was the rest of our experience during this stay, we will be back next year, hopefully with beef and venison restored to the menu.

I don't think it's possible to utter a meaningful criticism of the Cedars. I don't propose to try. Why waste words? I hope to arrange a further short holiday later in the year.

We had a lovey mini break, the place was perfect for our hiking plans around the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, really nice Cosey bar with a big fire.

Staff service was excellent. Good was amazing. Some noise at night due to creeky floorboards above. Room was lovely with nice touches eg water and biscuits.

Beautiful lochside setting with a range of seating areas and fire pit available. Very dog friendly with towels, toys and biscuits provided. All public areas are spacious which means social distancing is possible without everyone resorting to masks. Management are very friendly and keen to make your stay enjoyable.
