Stayed for one night with my boyfriend, to get a break from it all and this was definitely the right place. Nothing was too much trouble, facilities great, bar food gorgeous, lovely atmosphere and tidy rooms. We actually had a bit of a hiccup from expedia as they sold a family room with 2 double beds that the hotel didnt have. My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. Ideally situated near to M6 motorway junction 42 and 43. Lovely country location. Clean and comfortable rooms (fan provided) good food and friendly staff. Beautiful mature gardens. Plenty of free on site parking,free Wi-Fi. Food and accommodation reasonably priced.

We stayed here from 27 November 15 to 1st December 15 and had a fantastic time. They couldn't do enough for us and were always there to give information when we asked. They even catered for my fiances breakfast of a burger every morning - if that's not customer service and going the extra mile I don't know what is. The service here is brilliant. A family run establishment where there are toys for children and an outdoor play area. The working farm environment and beautiful scenary add atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable amd the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely return.

Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, the decor and comfort of the rooms was of a very high standard. Would book this hote again.

Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc.
