They will charge you 2.5 euro per person per day as an extra energi tax, which is not a part of the pricing on expedia. And a 'kur' tax, whatever that is. "This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. "We were arriving very late but the hotel staff couldn't do enough to accommodate. They were simply brilliant. Every email sent was replied to very quickly. Our key was placed in a digital lock box and code provided. The bedroom was very spacious along with a wonderful spacious bathroom. The shower gave instant hot water. "Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende in Bad Harzburg verbracht und waren sowohl vom Hotel als auch von der Kurstadt selbst positiv überrascht. Einzig schade war, dass das Hotelrestaurant und die Hotelbar abends geschlossen war. Dafür haben wir aber ein super Frühstück genossen und mit dem Glas Sekt am Morgen angestoßen. Lieben Dank auch nochmal an unseren tollen Kellner. Wir können es nur empfehlen!"
