"Nice hotel. We arrived very early after flying over night. We paid extra for early checking (12:00pm). Staff at the desk were great. They let us check in 6:30am. It allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy Dublin in the afternoon. Busy hotel with lots of business travelers. "

"We enjoyed our one night at the Imperial while traveling through Cork! Although the hotel itself is older, it's maintained well and the room itself was gorgeous. We liked how close it was to tons of dining and shopping options -- so once we parked the car, we just walked everywhere. Went to a sushi place for dinner and walked to the English Market in the morning for breakfast before heading off to Blarney Castle (only 25 mins away)."

"Nice hotel for a former hospital. Shandon is much quieter than being in Cork proper. Overall, great location… Only negative is the parking can be iffy"

"We chose the Metropole because we found a letter from an ancestor in my husband's family, who were originally from Ireland, touting it's praises. Maybe we stayed in the same room - nice to think about but probably not. Anyway, we had a great time. The location, friendly staff, and comfort all met our expectations. We will return."

"Value was being away from city centre. Good advice from reception staff to take bus into Cork and then walk to the Springsteen gig Saved a lot of taxis. "

"Great stay. Helpful staff. Little things at this level matter though - answering the phone when you’re in the middle of checking someone in isn’t a great look. And the room was uncomfortably warm, even with windows open or AC on max. The views on the other side would’ve been stunning looking East over Oyster Haven. West-facing you just have a car park. Request level 3 on the left (odd-numbered rooms I think). Bar menu was decent. Waiting staff there were brilliant!!!"
