"A fantastic last minute weekend getaway! So many activities for everyone. The grounds are stunning, the staff super friendly and the hot tup at the property was a major plus! Only criticism was the breakfast was a little chaotic (perhaps we arrived at the wrong time) but we were made to wait a while for a table and the selection of cereals / Savory / milk was very sparse ! The dinner was good, but my wife did receive marmite butter when we clearly stated she was coeliac! We will be back with...

"Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. "The settings is stunning but unfortunately the accommodation urgently needs updating.The plates and cups are chipped,the cooker must be 30 years old ,and takes a long time to heat up .The TV must be 19 inch ,the lounge suite sinks in at the back causing sore backs .There is no towel rails to hang your towels.The main bedroom,well the dressing table is a shelf ,there is no shelves just a wardrobe to hang clothes .The duvet is very thin and old and the cover is faded and polyester, horrible.My...

"The lovely couple who run the inn did a great job keeping the charm of the old building while providing all the modern conveniences one would appreciate in a hotel. The breakfast was fresh and made to order. We needed extra water as we could not find any to purchase on our day of cycling to the town. It was Sunday and everything was closed. They were so very generous with the number of bottles they gave us. There was a secure place to store our bikes. I would definitely stay there again. "

"The hotel/guest house is ideally situated in a quieter residential area, but still within easy reach of all amenities. The room was clean and bright, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom facilities good. The service was excellent, if perhaps a little slow, but that did not detract from my experience in any way. The breakfast was ample and well presented. The garden could be given some TLC to improve the outside seating area. I would happily stay here again."
