"Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable). Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room. Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves. I recommend the vegan curry."

"I had hoped i would be able to get a roll, or sandwich in the evening. Admittedly, i only asked for some crisps, as it appeared there was no service, as such, in the evening. The breakfast was good & the room clean & comfortable. However, it would be better to make sure that everything in the room is secure & not left for the customer to discover!!! "

"We were very glad to find this property available as a relatively late booking. We did not know beforehand that the Hotel is purpose built to cater for disabled guests and we were expecting a more conventional “beach club” with lounge/bar and restaurant open as a matter of course rather than just on request. "Loved it. Room was adequate (once you’ve got used to all the creaks and bumps). This is a 16th century building in all its glory. Food was plentiful, well cooked and hot. Although our room over looked an island there was no problem with road noise. There was plenty of parking front and rear. Cannot sing it’s praises enough, in fact we’ll be going back just as soon as we can. Loved it!"

"We encountered a peaceful, picturesque part of Wales we hadn't been before. The hosts were simply the best, the house has an "air" of being comfy, calm & chilled. We were blessed with our hosts Karen & Bernie - who are so gracious & welcoming ("Thank-you so, so very much") - Karen's breaky was to die for - as my Mam would say 'what more do ya want - jam on it' speaking of which, is home-made no less & just outstanding. "Huge place and comfortable enough. TV has no signal and there was no sign of a wifi code and no connection that I could make, so pointless having a tv in the place as not useable. Rooms were comfortable and big, bathroom is very nice too, shower needs some attention though as the top head is so limescales it sprays over the top of the shower and on to the floor, and there is some bad mould on the base, door runners also not working properly.
