When we arrived it was dark so we had no idea where we were, the lady in reception was very friendly and gave us a choice of two rooms, the rooms were clean and tidy, unfortunately the hotel only does breakfast but the lady pointed us in the right direction for food. It was a lovey quite night and when we got up and looked out the window....omg...what a view, we were right by the sea on the edge of a cliff. Had a superb 2 night stay here with our 2 daughters & our dog. Fantastic refurb of the bar & restaurant. Excellent plentiful breakfast. Very comfortable & spotlessly clean throughout. This Guest House is very welcoming. You are greeted with a big smile and settled in quickly and smoothly. If you have any issues, there is a can do approach to helping you out. There is a lovely homely lounge for visitors to share inclusive with fridge, games, tv, open fire, and for the adventurous, maps. The house is artistically decorated. The couple who run the B&B are very helpful. A relaxing. The house is very close to the beach for people who like to swim

A gorgeous hotel with beautiful decor and excellent food and drink- all staff very welcoming - a joy to visit

Very friendly. I was assisted up the stairs with a suitcase. One problem was that I couldn't drop the suitcase at the front door of the hotel as there was no entry signs at each end of the road so I had to trundle my case from the car park. I may have booked a nearer car park had I known.

Beautiful house set in the stunning Exmoor National park is worth the 5 stars alone. However , it is the attentiveness of the owners and attention to detail that really makes Edgcott House very, very special. Room was beautifully appointed with quality fixtures, made all the more special with aromatherapy products in the bathroom and freshly baked cake left in the room each day. Staff were excellent.

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer.

10 out of 10 very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Fantastic overnight stay. Made to feel very welcome upon arrival by the owner who then took us to a great vantage point to take in the stunning views whilst giving us a brief bit of background history surrounding the building. We took our dog who was welcomed greatly. The staff on site were pleasant and polite and on hand to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was great. Can't wait to return later on in the year.
