"Absolutely gob-smacked when we arrived at the Barnstaple Hotel, it was fantastic and totally unexpected. Staff were lovely, ambience great and it was just so welcoming. It was a fairly last minute booking, a one night stay and I hadn't really taken much notice of reviews etc. Great regret that I hadn't packed my swim-wear as the pools looked so enticing. "It was all very good, we asked for a chair for the room and got one straight away. Towels were changed every day and it was all very clean. All staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty to eat, all served fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Inn, the only thing I will mention is that we thought we were staying in Bideford, not realising the Hotel was in Westward Ho but it wasn't a problem."
