This was our 2nd stay here. We and our dog were made feel very welcome and had the lovliest relaxing stay. Beautiful property with great relaxation spaces and the breakfasts were delicious. Wonderful place, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

What can I say all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It is in a great sitiuation, just a short distance from the main shops. local musicians come in and play their music from time to time. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal. We would definately use this hotel again when we are in the Downpatrick area. Many thanks from a very happy customer.

This is a very comfortable property in a lovely peaceful location. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms with lovely views and thoughtful touches in terms of facilities offered. Very welcoming hosts and a superb, substantial, fresh breakfast provided. Highly recommended.

Room was ready even though we arrived early, as it was warm we requested a fan which was brought to our room within 5 minutes very helpful staff with nothing being to much trouble.

2nd time to stay here. I love it - Great views, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent breakfast. The decor is traditional and this adds to the charm. We did the river trail, such a lovely feature. Our stay was so relaxing, we will visit again.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during the Open championship 2025. The location is ideal as a base in which to explore the area using either the road or rail networks. The hotel is clean. spacious and the staff were excellent. For example, I forgot my phone charger. This was awkward as all my tickets etc were on my phone. I approached the reception for help and they couldn't have been more supportive. They used their own fast charger to initiate the charge then gave me a cable to use for the...

Where to start - I was clearly looking warm and tired upon my arrival so the staff made sure my room was ready early so I could settle in and freshen up. I asked for directions to the nearest shopping precinct only to be told it was a little too far to walk to on such a hot day, but a member of staff would be happy to drive me there. Really great place to stay clearly very new, The owner was really friendly and helpful. Felt very safe, quiet area lots of local shop nearby. Shower was amazing. It has a few little bits of snagging to complete to make it perfect. currently it could do with a few extra bits in the kitchen to make cooking easier such as sharp knives, chopping board and a few extra saucepans etc, but overall really great stay here.

A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again!
