"Lovely hotel, wonderful location. Seems to appeal to families predominantly. We really enjoyed the pianist on Friday evening. The food was lovely, though we were a little uncomfortable with the buffet service (and sheer number of people using it) given the pandemic. Language was a little tricky with a limited number of staff who could speak English, but we were able to communicate in German, so not a major issue. Overall a good stay. Thank you. "

The staff I interacted with didn't speak English (Google Translate to the rescue), so be prepared for that. The included breakfast was quite good. Parking is ample, and you will need it because this hotel is a good 20-30 minute walk to downtown restaurants and bars. In particular if you are visiting the nearby...

"Some updating may be required for this otherwise nice hotel. The room was VERY basic. There was no AC, no mini fridge or even an iron. Windows could use some screens as pigeon feathers get in when the window is open. It gets pretty loud on the weekend as it seems the younger crowds gather around the building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location."

The staff I interacted with didn't speak English (Google Translate to the rescue), so be prepared for that. The included breakfast was quite good. Parking is ample, and you will need it because this hotel is a good 20-30 minute walk to downtown restaurants and bars. In particular if you are visiting the nearby World War II sites by car, this is a great choice for lodging and very good value for money."
