"This was a fantastic deal. The free light dinner was actually a very nice buffet. With breakfast and dinner included this was our most affordable night in all of Sweden. The town itself was very walkable but the only place in Sweden we didn’t feel safe. A women came out of the hostel near the waterfront and was viciously yelling at us but we didn’t understand her and thankfully she was on the other side of a fence. Lots of great walking paths. We were lucky parking was free on the weekends. "

"The hotel is located next to a lake and close to the forest. You can walk in to the center of the small town in 10-12 minutes. We were only two (2) guests at the hotel due to these corona-affected times, so the number of staff and operating hours in the lobby was limited, Regardless, the service was good and check-in was smooth and nice. "We really enjoyed our stay at the BauerGarden. The cabin we had was very nice, with two rooms for for of us. Everything worked well in the unit. We made a nice dinner in the little kitchen with our unit. There is a small grocery store about 5km away with a nice selection of things to cook. Eating on our porch was very nice. "We were so disappointed upon arrival at our apartment. We had specifically booked an apartment instead of a hotel room so that we'd have a separate lounging area while our son slept, but there was only a tiny kitchen, no living room, and no door to the bedroom. The bathroom was full of black mold. It was also super noisy with very thin walls so you heard every move your neighbors made or every buzz of their phones. A sleepless night, thank goodness we only had to stay for one. "

"The host was so gracious! She opened early for us and allowed us to check in early. Although it was off season, she offered to open the dining hall if we wanted to have dinner that night. And because we were leaving early in the morning to visit family roots all around the area, she made a breakfast in a bag for us so we had something for the road. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. And she gave us a room with a water view which was lovely to see in the daylight. "

As we wanted a low key stay, we walked to the Huskvarna Museum and to the shops at Smedben, and enjoyed the billiards and various games at the hotel.
