"Great hotel near the beach. "
Just returned from a stay at Sunshine Suites and am already looking forward to returning. The hotel grounds were clean and well-kept and the staff were all friendly and helpful. My room was a simple efficiency, perfect for fixing yourself snacks or light meals to save on dining out all the time. The room could use a little updating, but was still neat, clean and comfortable. It's a few minutes walk to the beach or the staff will drive you over by electric cart if you prefer. Either way, access to the beach at the Westin and its beach chairs/towels is easy. The restaurant on the property serves some fantastic food, and there are many great nearby restaurants to try out too, several within walking distance. Overall, the resort was really quiet, even being in a room facing the main road.

"Great location, close to beach."
Just returned from a week stay here. Loved the location, while not ocean front it is only a short walk down a path to beautiful seven mile beach. Great snorkeling at this location as well as a few steps down in front of the Mariott Hotel where they have a man made reef. Lots of fish to see!! All staff at the hotel very friendly. They were very helpful arranging 2 condos next to each other as we a family of 8. There is construction going on but it did not bother us, pool is open, wifi works great and AC keeps the place very cool!! They work hard keeping the grounds looking nice. Would recommend this type of place if traveling with a family. It is very expensive to eat in Grand Cayman so having a full kitchen helps with the expense of eating all meals out. They have 2 large barbecue grills that you can also use. Its an easy walk to the other hotels if you want to visit the bars and nightlife. Renting a car is reasonable, would recommend it as driving around shows you the beauty of the island. Visit Sting Ray City,Rum Point, bio-luminescent tour was amazing, star fish bay and of course scuba diving great!

"Great stay after 20 year return"
If you like being catered to and expect fine china at dinner and a condo size room, this place is not for you. BUT, if value is your thing, this is it! Room was simple and clean, staff always kind and friendly, and the beach was a 60 second walk down a sandy path just past the pool. Hot breakfast every morning helped stretch our dollar so we could spending on other things like diving and shopping. Small fridge and micro enough for some beers and quick snacks between activities. We went in September (low season) so not too crowded anywhere. We will be back, thank you for a great time!

"There's no beach, food is expensive and a rip off "
Hotel room is nice, the hallway smelled funny. their restaurant has limited menu, staff is nice, their food is expensive, there is no beach. I would only stay there again if I'm on a budget because hotel room was affordable. THE WIFI SUCKED!

"Quiet side of the island! "
If you're looking for a quiet beach "get away" - this is the place! Definitely rent a vehicle and take the 40 minute drive from the airport yourself. The island is very safe and clean, and it's fun to have the flexibility to explore it! Also, there are a few superb restaurants nearby within driving distance (Tukka and Over the Edge were both fantastic!) We ate at Tukka two nights of the trip! We visited the Blue Iguana Nature Reserve - and actually saw one! We also enjoyed the bioluminescent bay tour (by boat!) which was fantastic and a very early morning trip to Sting Ray City (which included snorkeling on our tour!) The east side of the island is quiet and secluded - if that what you're looking for, stay here! We spent a day driving around the west side (Seven Mile Beach) which after six days of quiet was way too loud and crowded for us, but fun for the day!

"Centrally located with really awesome staff!"
Great staff, really awesome cove. Lots of seaweed, but if you're a snorkeler, it's full of schools and schools of fish, big and small. If you have a car, which I *highly* recommend, this is a great central location. I drove the entire perimeter of the island (my first time on the left-hand side). It's easier than it seems, but there are lots of round -abouts. Take the time to study the round-about guide your rental agency hands out. Try to go during daylight hours your first time. We arrived after dark and it was much easier the next morning. The condos are older, but well maintained. No cockroaches or lizards and only a few sugar ants. The amenities are awesome. The food and bar are great. The hotel directly behind the condos is being renovated and they say it will be a Margaritaville. Sigh. Don't go during spring break after it's done!

"Lack of sand in beach area."
Though I knew that the shore water (swimming area) would be rocky, the pictures displayed the area as sandy, which I felt was misleading. The main reason for choosing this hotel was that it was associated with a scuba diving agency. It was a great idea since "Red Sail Sports" was oustanding in personel and professionalism; and would be the reason for my return. There were several pools as part of the hotel but I came for the ocean.
