The Cayman Islands are a popular Caribbean escape, attracting visitors year-round for their water sports, museums, golf courses and some of the region’s best beaches. Come to relax on pristine sand, scuba dive, jet ski and sail, spot marine wildlife and then make the most of the Island’s popular nightlife.
The Cayman Islands are located in the northwest of the Caribbean, 300 miles (480 kilometers) northwest of Jamaica. They’re made up of three separate islands, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. The capital George Town and most resorts are located along Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile beach. The Islands are a British Territory and English is the most commonly spoken language.
Greet the Caribbean sun each morning with group yoga or tai chi on the sand at Grand Cayman. The beachfront is lined with many cafés offering international cuisine and a view of the sparkling ocean.
The islands are warm year-round. May to October is the wet season and tropical storms in the afternoon are common. Winters are cooler but also dryer. Cool off during the day year-round and go diving and snorkeling. Explore shipwrecks around Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac that are accessible for all levels of experience.
Some of the best marine life can be found near the diving walls around Little Cayman. Feed stingrays at Stingray City, a series of shallow sand bars off Grand Cayman or swim with dolphins at Dolphin Cove, a saltwater lagoon just north of George Town.
For above-water fun, enjoy jet skiing, parasailing and kite boarding. Rent equipment from vendors along most beachfronts. Leave the beach for a round of golf or tour the impressive cave systems on Cayman Brac. Hike the Mastic Trail on Grand Cayman or take a bird-watching tour on Cayman Brac’s Parrot Reserve nature trail.
Visit urban sites such as the Cayman Islands National Museum, which celebrates the region’s Amerindian heritage. If partying is your thing, enjoy the nightlife with bars serving an assortment of rum drinks and parties continuing late into the night.
Fly into the Cayman Islands then use water taxis to hop from one island to another in this Caribbean paradise.
Not sure the location gets much better. This property is amazing. We just got back September 15,2019. This was our second visit to this Westin. I have nothing but great experiences here. Been to every Caribbean island and this is top two for sure. Negatives are really the pool roughness and cloudiness. ...
Lovely hotel with an amazing staff. The only negative side of the property is the actual “beach” area. There’s little to no sand square footage.
good location and about 10 mins bus ride to downtown.
Resort nice. Pools great. Restaurant excellent. Grounds well maintained. Rooms very cute, AC was freezing. Staff super friendly. The beach was not nice at all. Rocky and murky. Have to go a mile up to public beach and it is gorgeuous .
Fantastic time! Property was neat and clean, staff was amazing.. definitely recommend staying here
Very nice little resort! Clean! Not too many people. Good food with some very healthy options on a menu! No complains!
Staff was very nice! So close to the beach! Suites come equipped with small stove, fridge and sink! They have a hotel cat! So cute. Calm and quiet
Everything was amazing!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! I can’t say one bad thing about the Kimpton Seafire
