"Savignione is a quaint and adorable town 20 minutes by car from Genoa. We spent 4 days here and thoroughly enjoyed the sweet mountain air and the friendliness of the people. Not only Claudia and her husband are wonderful, efficient, friendly, and multilingual, but they also run a tight ship. We felt so at home in this place.The place is a short walk from the town piazza where you can leave/park your car. There is a newly opened pizzeria and Mike’s taverna are great places for dinner. "

"We went to calamandrana to discover my wife's ancestor birth place. The old town was awesome but most incredible was the hotel host Viviana. She help us a lot with the thing we need and explains everything about the town, history and families. Also she ride us to other city to certify some documents and to take the train! If you are going to calamandrana you should defenetely stay here!"

"This was a last minute booking, while driving on a freeway towards Milan, literally an hour before check in. But what a nice surprise! Excellent hotel, spacious restaurant/ bar which was still open at this late hour, and the man at the reception was so nice, and gave us an extra room complimentary, realizing there were 5 of us, and we'd be crowded in 1 room. "We needed a night stop for our journey from Switzerland to Genoa. We chose the valentino hotel with the breakfast option. I would say the breakfast and dinner was a bit of a disappointment, dinner was just heated up and not freshly made and yet pricey given the location as for breakfast it was very basic; croissants, cereal, and milk. The rooms were clean, the furniture is a bit outdated but still clean nevertheless. There was a strong smell of bleach when we entered the room, it could have been tuned down. parking was very convenient and secure so that was a plus. I will recommend one night stopover. "
