Compare and book 3 Star hotels in Bootham, York

Fantastic hotel, staff are very friendly and helpful, great location with car parking, my only issue was the bed being too soft but I have chronic back pain, other than that an excellent stay

We have read other reviews regarding this hotel some of them not very complimentary frankly they are obviously deranged. Our experience was excellent, the hotel was clean, the rooms comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive especially Stuart whom served us our breakfasts for our 2 day stay We couldn't work out what any poor review was based on unless those people were extremely pretentious and thoughts they deserved better? In summary the...

Being close to town centre.private parking. Warm and welcoming staff. Breakfast excellent. Everywhere spotlessly clean.Lovely beer garden.Warm rooms, would advise take a electric fan .

We love this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room with a large bathroom, wonderful hot tub, excellent breakfasts, and well located for great walks around York.

Nice and comfortable accommodation. Staff were helpful and polite

Churchill Apartments were in a great location, 2 min walk to the Bootham Gate, Sainsburys city is open late and below for anything you may need. Secure parking spot so you can just leave your car. Great view of the cathedral from the lounge, TV had Netflix etc for the kids. Such an easy access, we've stayed in York lots of times and tried all sorts of places - this was by far the best to date.

Location ideal. Parking available nearby £10 daily rate. Wes was a great host & he & Carol couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely return

This is a little late, we stayed in January 2026: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Serenity in the City to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I can wholeheartedly say it was a remarkable experience! The apartment we stayed in was stunning; it felt truly luxurious, with elegant decor and all the amenities we could have hoped for. Joe and her husband were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we made contact. Their warm hospitality significantly...

Amazing. Gorgeous property. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely hosts

Beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for a one night stay and a close walk to city centre, would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful 7-night stay in this apartment. It was much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the shower was excellent with a large cubicle, and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, dishes and cutlery. Our only disappointment was that there were just two mugs. We requested more, but unfortunately they never arrived. The apartment was very warm, even with the air conditioning on. We would have...

Lovely property in a lovely village - central to visit lots of interesting places.

Very friendly hosts, family room was very good and spacious for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was amazing and set us all up for a day at York maze. Would highly recommend and the location was quite good to. Onsite parking at the back was really good 👍

Our stay was for our wedding anniversary and I am a wheelchair user. The staff were fantastic and the access for me was wonderful. The best access in any hotel,

We had a 4 night stay to celebrate my birthday. What a beautiful place the Burtonstone inn is. A moden pub with 8 letting rooms. All the rooms are 1st floor with ensuite. Some have extra beds for kids to share. All are well thought out with nice modern touches. Water , tea, coffee, etc. Hair drier , tv and free wifi. Are all provided. The owners and staff are very friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. 10/15 minutes walk to city center and its many interests, sites , shops...

brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again

Position is ideal. Nice and quiet and a perfect vacation.

Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.
