"I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. The rooms are dead quiet, as you are encased by thick walls. There are a few plaques around the hotel to tell of its former life. "The room was clean and the beds reasonably comfortable although there was a hole in one of the sheets. It was located on the second floor with very steep and narrow stairs. The hotel was dog friendly which I needed but our dog was afraid of the noisy bar and the steep stairs. Location was wonderfully central and on the waterfront. The bar had a DJ late into the night (about 1:30 am) which we could hear clearly in our room. Earplugs were provided which should have been our first clue....

" Nice styled petached property with everything you need and beautiful park. - Although the park states everywhere for leasure only, no work vans allowed on site, there were builders onsite, sitting outside till midnight and then waking us up at 6am with the large van running its engine on the spot, waiting for various people to be picked up. Host did everything he could to provide a suitable breakfast, with so many extras. In an area, which was very quiet. Would certainly go back!"
