Taipei is famous for its temples and night markets, so take a walking, bike or guided tour of as many as possible. If you’re short on time, make sure you visit the Confucius Temple near the Yuanshan RMT station to catch a 4D film about the life and teachings of Confucius. You’ll also see an amazing example of southern Fujian architecture, with ceramic panels and plenty of well-designed displays (in English).
After, head to the Dalong Street Night Market to sample the local delicacies of ‘lurofan’ (braised pork rice) and red-bean dumplings, or satisfy your sweet tooth with a fruit-topped ice-cream wrap.
