"This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out)....

"The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of sockets next to the bed, it was warm with the curtains closed but there was a draught from the window area not sure if it was the vent under the window. There’s a cupboard next to the room door which contains a water pump that woke us when someone else in the hotel was having a shower and when we wanted a shower later there was no hot water. Furniture needs repairs and wallpaper peeling off. This was supposed to be the Deluxe double en-suite....

"Beautiful room and perfectly placed for attending a wedding at the Gilstrap Centre. Directions, parking, and self check in were all well described and easy to follow."

"Comfy beds. Otherwise, quite run down. Does have an almost pleasant vintage charm to it, mid-century looking fixtures in some places. Like being in Fawlty Towers, except there are no staff, and you're not quite sure if you might get murdered. Good value for money 4/5"
