"The Hotel is a little dated but the norm for a town like Coldstream. The food was good, the breakfast excellent and the staff really cared about the clients. We enjoyed it and the locals were friendly and the service for our dog excellent."

It wasn’t hot inside during the heat wave, hurrah! The building itself is a bit shabby but the room was great. Very noisy at night so bring earplugs. "Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing."

"Room basic, clean. Found it cold in the evening although heating in room. door didn’t shut very well so there was a slight gap, this may of been the problem. As a cheap base for outdoors people it would be ideal. Friendly staff who greeted us. Location ideal for village where there are takeaways and restaurants. Short walk. "
