Leeds City

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Excellent standard and they had made the effort to book all the rooms together (much better than being on separate floors).
Cons: Nothing - hotel suited a group of girls for a weekend break.
Location: Short walking distance to station, bars, restaurants and shops.
The hotel is very central to all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need for a weekend visit. Easy to walk to the main part of town. Close to station also so no need to spend on taxis etc. Hotel staff were very helpful. Reception is very smart with coffee bar and the restaurant. Rooms were very comfortable with nice bathrooms - particularly liked the walk-in shower. Concierge facilities excellent.

Overnight Stay

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: Central Location
Easy access from Railway station; very central to town; reasonable room, nothing exciting but functional and what was required as a location to sleep. Gym / pool useful for Sunday morning.

Lovely staff, pleasant rooms, tatty old pool!

Posted 30-Aug-2014
From the moment of my arrival til I checked out, the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and well presented and the bed was nice and firm and comfortable. The pool area was less than wonderful though, the changing rooms and shower area were grubby and poorly lit. The pool itself had an exceptionally strong vinegar like chemical smell so I couldn't stand to stay in it. I actually felt like I was eating the smell of the chemicals and couldn't get rid of this horrid taste at the back of my throat for several hours afterwards. I mentioned it to the staff and they checked the chlorine levels, finding them to be at the top of the acceptable range. They did apologise but it had already spoilt my swim that I'd been so looking forward to (I usually have a 3 year old and a 1 year old in tow so this was to be quite a luxury to actually swim in the pool!!). Oh and I wasn't given a receipt for my room service at the time it was delivered and as I paid cash they couldn't get me a copy when I checked out so I can't claim it back...I wouldn't mind but as I was still tasting the chemicals from the pool I didn't even really enjoy it!!!

Pros: Close to centre for shops and bars
Cons: Reduce the parking cost, brighten the rooms up, if ours was an upgrade, I hate to think what the basic room was like.
Location: Very good
great weekend, room a little tired, shower no good, staff and breakfast excellent.

Pleasant

Posted 12-Aug-2014
It was a very modern, comfortable and elegant for a standard room. It felt like an exquisite room. The food and dinning setting was the best ever. Breakfast brilliant. Very hygienic and loads of nicely laid out food to choose from. Easy access to amenities and great shopping areas. Helpful and professional staff.

Not worth the money you have to pay

Posted 24-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
Room was filthy, holes in bedding, fur around wall plugs in bathroom. Asked reception twice about getting it cleaned never happened so cleaned it myself !!! Left without towels on an occasion. Bathrooms very small !! No point in calling it a bath was more like a small basin. Definitely not worth all the money we paid, better stays in Premier Inns (suggest stopping in one of them than here) Breakfast was lovely , this is the boy good thing I have to say about this hotel. Definitely won't be stopping there again !!
