"The stable was much bigger than the photos show & was veer clean & spacious with everything to hand. The owners Jan & Nick have thought of everything. The garden & woods are lovely, we were lucky to be there with the bluebells in full bloom. Enjoyed seeing all the animals including horses, rabbits, squirrels & lots of different birds. The stars are amazing when the night sky is clear. Lots of places to visit, we went to Rye, Hastings, Canterbury & Bodiam Castle."

"We had a great stay and really enjoyed the tennis court and the main living space at Hollyoak Sanctuary. The weather didnt cooperate so we didnt use the outside space as much as we wanted to but it was fabulous and would be great in better weather. The property manager was very receptive in answering questions and was flexible meeting our requests. Kitchen well equipped and bedrooms were great. Very dog friendly which we loved and a nice circular walk straight from the drive or back garden...

"We spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage within the country Park, the cottage is incredibly well equipped in the kitchen , the views are amazing, all the way along the coast, Pett levels, Rye, Camber sands, Dungeness and in one particularly clear night France! Karen responded to queries immediately and was an excellent host. I certainly recommend this cottage."

"This property exceeded all our expectations. The host Ginny was wonderful. The cottage was lovely and well decorated throughout, peaceful, beautiful surroundings, very comfortable beds, great to come home to after a busy day out. Well, kitted out kitchen. Could have stayed a lot longer. Ginny arranged some flowers for our visit on request and we were not disappointed, they were fantastic. Would definitely return."

Instead this is a quiet friendly estate with some children playing in the street (no playground as far as we are aware) and occasional dog walkers. "That's what we called it - the house of the seven dwarfs. However, don't be held back by the "dwarf" part - it's not tiny! It is just extremely cosy, cute, and elegant. Vintage, yet certainly not outworn. An extremely pleasant experience for those like us, coming from the modernism of the city who want to find some peace, quietness and family-feeling.
