"The reception staff was very friendly. However the room was a disappointment. There was not toilet paper, the sheets were dirty and stained. I had to use a towel on the bottom sheet and slept in my clothes. I booked for two nights and stayed one night and checked out. The location was nice very close to the beach and local restaurants. "The Thiruvambadi is a great hotel. It’s in a convenient spot at the very end of the cliff ‘strip’ so, if you turn left out of the hotel, you’ve can walk along the clifftop past lots of shops and an endless choice of restaurants. "It’s primitive. Like an abandoned infirmary. If you like camping, then it’s ok. Don’t recommend for those concerned about illnesses tranmsitted by musquitos. Not child safe. Can see an accident and a law suit in its future."

"I didn’t stay. I showed up and no one was there. Someone near by said the owner left and was having a hard time finding employees. I made phone calls and emails and no one for back so walked down the road to another hotel. The location is good but it’s not mapped correctly. The lobby was very dirty. I didn’t see a soon because no one could show me. No one was staying there except a long term resident. Now I’m working with hotels.com to get my money back."

"For starters when I booked it said air conditioned room/ when I arrived it was not so wasn't impressed with hotels.com The place is nice, helpful staff and nice grounds man. The cottage is cute and a good size. It's a little challenge finding this place but it's well signed which is helpful. To get to the cliffs go through either bamboo village or the ally way next to it- along here is some cool shops and restaurants"
