A nice clean hotel in a central location. The rooms are spotless and large. The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel manager (ANKUSH) sat down with my family and I one night for over an hour trying to book train tickets for us on the internet. We had no luck because our foreign credit cards would not be accepted by the Indian website, so he kindly paid with his own card and we reimbursed him. Pure gentleman!
The hotel restaurant serves lovely food and the band that plays for you while you eat some nights are fantastic.
Don't miss the complementary sunset cruise round the harbour where you get to see the Chinese fishing nets at sunset, a great photo opportunity!
Would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay there again. A real gem.
Very pleasant hotel with large rooms, friendly staff and good facilities. We were upgraded to the hotel suite which was a large, well-appointed very comfortable room. The hotel is very well located near to the historic area of the Chinese fish nets and walking distance to restaurants, bars, craft and art shops etc. Staff were helpful and friendly. Indian style breakfast on the top floor was very good.
"Very comfortable hotel in great central location"
We stayed at the Tea Bungalow for three nights in Oct 13. The hotel is located in a great location for visiting the main attractions of Fort Cochin, the spice markets and Jew Town.
Tea Bungalow is a small, beautifully presented hotel, the staff were friendly and polite and the room was very pleasant with, importantly, an efficient air conditioning system.
We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis so I can only comment on the food from a breakfast perspective... a good choice of Western and Indian food on offer, well cooked and presented with courteous and friendly service.
Lovely hotel, great location, nice people, great room. I only stayed here one night but it was really good value. I spoke to another guy who paid 2/3 what I paid in a nearby hotel and his place was no where near as good. The interior is really nice and it is very close to the sea.
