"Surrounding area is beautiful. The property is very nice, the rooms are clean and the bathroom was good. The breakfast was very good too. Only thing I would say is that the bar was not serving the night we stayed (a Sunday) and that would have been good to know when we booked. Other than that, very good."

"Visited as a surprise trip for my boyfriend’s birthday who is vegan. The location and grounds are exceptional, dog friendly and very tranquil which is what we wanted. Staff and food was also exceptional! Flies in the room but to be expected due to the flowing river on site. Perhaps some natural repellant incorporated into the lovely small details would be good e.g. hand wash, diffuser etc. Also can hear footsteps of those staying in the room above, likely due to the age of the building. "Stayed with friends for 1 night in a room with double sofa bed and separate double bedroom. We couldn’t fault the room or service at all. Staff were friendly and efficient and we felt really welcome. Dinner and breakfast were cooked perfectly and delicious. The setting is beautiful. Lots of opportunity for walks on the site or perfectly located to drive out and visit Yorkshire’s beautiful scenery. The leisure families were great too. Quiet, clean and relaxing. "I loved just about everything about it. Coukldn't work out if window was able to be opened so did get a bit stuffy the day I forgot to pull blind down (that may have been me) Oh and perhaps a word about the lower part of Blackwall being closed? but all round excellent "
