The apartment was clean. The kitchen, whilst stocked, has no dishwasher, which was not a huge problem for us, but all the glasses, mugs and cutlery needed a good scrub. We did not cook whilst here, but did get a takeaway, having a microwave, with a food cover was a bonus. The bed was clean and comfortable. Lots of fresh towels. Bathroom was ok, very limited space between the basin and the toilet itself, making it quite difficult to sit, as your knees were against the unit. 😳 Overall a good central place to stay. The studio could be a really nice space if was kept fresher, the issues the communal areas are not a fault of the hosts, but impact on the quality of the stay/ apartment. Clean, modern and comfortable. Lift was out of order and hot water temperature needs turning down but great communication from owner. Easy to park in nearby car park and just a short walk to the town centre. They were very considerate with it being Christmas time and allowed us to enter the property earlier than the usual check in time. The apartment was immaculately clean and tidy with everything you could possibly need. Being winter I put the heating on when I arrived and was easy to use and warmed the whole apartment up in no time. We’ll definitely use these again. All started well with good communication from Shane (management agent). He even allowed us an early check in. When we got into the property it was incredibly hot and no matter what we did it wouldn't get any cooler. The thermostat was broken so we Contacted Shane and they offered to send someone but this would be at 11pm and with a young family this wasn't appropriate. So we ended up wrapping a duvet around the radiator to block the heat. Lucky we had the kids in the rear bedroom which was cooler. We had also brought their duvets to make it easier for them to sleep so meant we had one spare for us to do this. The blinds didnt block out any light in the bedroom so had to make shift a curtain using a throw. Bathroom floor tiles were loose,toilet was wobbly also the radiator in the bathroom was also on full so added to the stifling heat. Sofa bed incredibly uncomfortable had to be moved each night as no room to extend this out it had to be moved so it didnt block the bedroom. Next morning contacted Shane to say we were going to eureka and if someone could fix it that would be great . He said he raised it and someone would be out. This didn't happen came back to another roasting room even though we had the windows open all day. Made it unbareable so spent our time out of the room but a nightmare to sleep. Tried to contact shane multiple times and heard nothing back at all. One of the worst stays I've had. In a good position near restaurant,shops ect. Lift was great. Code to get in worked when finally found Halifax House. No signage to say Halifax House and no number, given , only name of road. Several people had same problem while we were there .
