“Whenever I attend a trade show, I always try to reserve a room at the Radisson Harborfront.”

Great location for trade shows. Walking distance to numorous interesting areas. Freindly and very helpful staff.

“Over-exuberent housekeeping spoiled an otherwise good stay...”

The hotel itself is fine. Great location, right beside Rogers Center and CN Tower. The only problem is the housekeeping staff. Banged on my door the 1st morning at 7:20 AM looking to clean the room!!!! After I told the housekeeper to hit the bricks (she spoke zero English), I complained to the front desk, telling them that I would be checking out late the next day, and do NOT send housekeeping around until after I left. Day 2: Housekeeping banged on the door at 8 AM. Same person. I was not impressed. English or no, I think she got the message.

Area recommendations

Downtown is great, harbourfront is the best. Close to all the down town attractions, nice views of the island.

“Great Location”

Location was perfect for me. I was working at Exhibition Center and jumped on a street car right in front of hotel. Great sports bar/restaurant at hotel as well.

“nice location on the harbour but watch the noisy street car side”

I sought out this location for business so my circumstances may not apply to everyone. It was in the right location for my needs. Street car (tram) is right out front so you can easily get in to downtown. Otherwise it's about a 20 min walk. My room was on the street side so you do hear the trams but you get use to it. Catch the airport bus for C$24 into the city (get off at the Westin, the first city stop) and it's a 12min walk to the Radisson (on the same street). Very easy to navigate. Breakfast buffet for C$15 (plus tax) was convenient but it did not have toast or juices available. Still it had sausages/bacon/egg; muffins/croissant; and cereal and fruit. There is a 24 hr convenience store across the road. Business centre computers do not have skype but the hotel does have wireless for laptops. It wasn't strong enough for my blackberry to pick it up

Getting around

you can get an all day tram,subway, bus pass for C$10. Alternatively if you know you will catch the tram more than 3 times, best get a day pass. The subway system is easy to understand. For downtown it's one main street Yonge; and the train pretty much goes north or south.

“Not impressed, at best”

My bed had a mattress that had been vomited on. It was clearly noticeable (smell and stain) and should have been picked up by housekeeping. I spent one night on this smelly mattress. It was exchanged the next day, but no one offered an excuse. All I was told is "this can happen". A discount or at least complimentary breakfast would have been appropriate in my opinion but I received a fruit plate in my room instead and the fruit were not fresh. There were also problems with a toilet that did not flush well and a tub that did not drain well. I did not report these problems but I can't understand how housekeeping would not notice. I clearly would not return.

“Good rooms and great location”

The hotel is within walking distance to the Billy Bishop city airport. Trams stop in front of the hotel for easy access. The staff, however nice, seem to ignore customers standing at the counter. One must speak up or wait. For me, such a hotel shod automatically have staff that look up and smile and ask you what you want when you approach the desk. Or at the very least, tell us they will be right with us. Otherwise, the rest was very good. I would stay there again.
