“Wir kommen wieder !”

Wir wählten das Hotel aufgrund der günstigen Lage zum Rennsteig. Grund des Hotelbesuchs war die Teilnahme am Rennsteig-Marathon. Das Hotel hatte sich perfekt auf die vielen Gäste eingestellt, die an dieser Sportveranstaltung teilnahmen. So wurde z.B. das Frühstück auf 04.45 Uhr vorverlegt, um den Gästen vor der Abreise noch eine erste Mahlzeit zu ermöglichen. Im nächsten Jahr werden wir definitiv das gleiche Hotel wählen.

Thuringian Forest, Germany: At 120 kilometres long and 35 kilometres wide, this hilly forest is popular year round. The Rennsteig hiking path (a skiing path in winter) follows the summits along the main central ridge, the highest peak being the Grosser Beerberg. Winter sports centres like Oberhof have facilities for downhill skiing but Nordic skiing is much more popular. Burgk Castle in the south-east corner of the forest is one of Germany's most beautiful castles.
