"Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. "This place was very charming and in an excellent location. very charming, clean, etc. The only things to watch out for are: The stair are small and steep. It was fine for us, but an older person of someone without great balance may not want to stay there. Because of the location (in a charming old village) it was hard to find when we arrived. It was fine, but you you need to arrive after dark make arrangements to have the host meet you."

"We loved this place as soon as we set our eyes on it, both from the outside and the inside. Plenty of space in all rooms and everything else that you'd need, from wood to make a fire to a few biscuits and tea. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely grounds too. Not too far from the hills for walking or visiting nearby villages and towns. Plenty of local walks too. The pub up the road, The Butchers Arms serves excellent food as well as drinks. All in all, an excellent place to stay. Thank you. "

"The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. The host was amazing, very responsive with questions and even gave me a free night of stay due to a mix up with the booking. They have thought and catered for everything such as a fully equipped kitchen, bunk beds for the kids, the small details like a variety of board games, tv in every bedroom, kayaks and so much more. I have been to the estate a few times and would not hesitate to stay at Jess Cottage again."
