The views were outstanding even from the bed...and there were private places to sit outside to take full advantage of the sun and views. Loads of walks right from the front door and so well placed to visit tons of attractions. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. Seeing deer and boar on almost a daily basis was great and the dogs were happy free running without the worry of the bears, lynx and wolves they meet back home. ##### Lloyd Stayed 5 nights in Apr 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Rini 30 May 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication Had an enjoyable short break at the Maple Lodge. Hosts were very friendly including the cats and dogs. Lodge was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was comfortable and slept well after all the walking and trekking. WiFi was intermittent and could probably do with a boost but it did not ruin our stay as we were out exploring the surrounding area most of the day. It was a bit too chilly to sit out on the decking in the evening so enjoyed the countryside views form inside. The only issue was the appliances.
