This 51-room hotel is in a charming 17th-century building in the oldest, most enchanting part of Stockholm, on a corner facing the city’s trendy Södermalm district and Slussen interchange.
Take time out to enjoy an afternoon coffee in the lobby, or during the summer months, on the cozy, roof terrace resplendent with flowers, with a view over the Old Town’s rooftops and spires.
The Hotel is on Lilla Nygatan (two streets across from Västerlånggatan) in the Old Town, some 50 m from Kornhamns Torg and 200 m from Slussplan/Skeppsbron. The Royal Palace, Cathedral, House of Nobility and Riddarholmen with its historical church are less than 500 m away.
If you’re arriving by air we recommend the Arlanda Express rail-link to Stockholm Central Station.
If you’re travelling by coach or train to Stockholm Central/Cityterminal, there’s an enjoyable walk (of just over 1 km, taking Vasagatan – Tegelbacken – Vasabron – Stora Nygatan – right down Tyska Brinken – left on Lilla Nygatan, were the hotel is just 20 m away), or take the subway to T Gamla Stan (exit Gamla Stan, follow Schönfeldts Gränd alleyway up to Lilla Nygatan, then right).
If you’re driving, head for Slussen/Södermalmstorg, and then take Katarinavägen – Munkbroleden – Munkbrogatan – Lilla Nygatan. Remember that you can leave your car outside the Hotel for a maximum of five minutes. On most days, there’s an external car pick-up service available for a fee, or you can park in the OK/Q8 car park at Slussen (some 500 m away) or along Skeppsbron (also some 500 m away).
The entrance to Gamla Stan subway station is just some 100 m from the Hotel, at Mälartorget. Buses depart from Kornhamns Torg or Skeppsbron/Slussplan, where you could also take the Djurgården ferry. We recommend environmental taxis (Taxi Stockholm), which you can book from reception.
