"Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"Views of sheep from conservatory in back (where we spent most of our time) and glorious water views from dining table out front which are not shown in listing but should be! Very comfy well equipped older cottage. Keith was great to chat with. The 4 mile one track road in was slow due to the traffic to the Talisker Distillery but that is no fault of the cottage. Just a fact on Skye!"

"Eileen Isay was the perfect central location for us to explore Isle of Skye. Dunvegan Castle, Fairy Pools, prehistoric Brochs, hiking in the Cuillins and our favourite hike The Quiraing. Absolutely jaw dropping scenery and magic weather all week. The cottage was ideal for us, cosy, warm, very comfy bed and everything we needed. Every evening we sat by the bay window and watched the amazing sunsets, all of which made our Golden Anniversary a very memorable one. Thankyou Marion!"

"Objekt und Lage wie in Anzeige beschrieben, Sehr schön, super ausgestattet, hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Sehr gute Idee mit dem Feldstecher in der Küche und dem Vogelbestimmungsbuch. Eine schöne Beschäftigung bei Ebbe. Den Ofen haben wir mit dem vorhandenen Holz nicht angefeuert bekommen. Wegen der Heizung war es aber trotzdem warm. Übergabe war ohne persönlichen Kontakt, was wir schade fanden."

"It was a wonderful cottage, conveniently located, with amazing views!! The cottage had everything you needed and was clean and well kept up! The hosts who live next door were very kind and helpful. I definitely plan to go back! My only tiny issue was on VRBO and cottages.com, that manages it, there was no reminder email sent before check in with details and no way to communicate with anyone. I followed the instructions for check in as listed, but if I had needed to arrive late or anything like...

"The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. The location was amazing with easy walking to village center. Great local craft show on Tuesdays, the Glendale Village Shop had wonderful local foods, and we could watch seals and otters along the coast of The Little Minch. Easy drives to many great sites on the isle. Great place to stay!"

"This was my favorite place of our 3 week stay in Scotland, we loved it. The cottage was perfect, cozy, quiet and comfortable. We loved the area, easy to get into Portree or anywhere else we wanted. This would be one of my first picks to stay in again!"

"Quaint cottage directly on the Loch Bay. Clean and comfortable. Garden with seating and table. Stone beach with water access. Found many pieces of colorful pottery and glassware! There are two restaurants, one is Loch Bay which is Michelin awarded. Weeks wait to get a reservation. The other is Stein. Reservations suggested. No other food, so stop at a Co-O prior to arriving!"

"This home was a wonderful spot for 5 adults and 1 infant to stay while exploring Skye. We really appreciated the 3 bathrooms and the central location to explore the area. The kitchen is fabulous, everything you could want to prepare food to eat in or to take on a picnic. We took the owners advice and stocked up on groceries when we passed through Portree. The Yurtea had amazing baked treats and a cozy atmosphere and just a few steps away. The chocolate orange brownie was amazing! The Skyeskin...
