"Hilton Quality with a Bajan Distinction"
I was delighted with every aspect of my stay at the Barbados Hilton. While it provides the level of comfort and service I expect from a Hilton, there was a distinctly foreign flavor that let me know I was not just having the same experience I would have if I had gone to Florida instead. I travel solo and this hotel staff made me feel welcome every moment of my stay.

"The most helpful staff you could ever imagine"
I stayed for 2 weeks in December. The hotel was amazing, as good as the ex-plantation houses owned by the National Trust but the real gem here is the staff. They really couldn't do enough to help and if there was a small hitch it was solved immediately with a big smile. The gardener even offered to come shopping with me to help me buy the correct hose pipe (for my new home)! Occasionally they had function during the day and if I was around I was always offered a plate of food. Michelle, the manager helps everyone each day to make their arrangements for the day, she even helped me sort out house insurance! Breakfast is served in different places in the house and gardens each day and the breakfast itself is also different everyday!

"Paradise"
Stunning hotel, small and friendly. The staff were welcoming and helpful with everything. Omal on the bar is fabulous with his cocktail creations, Angela & Ceraline were great to have at meal times as they provide you with brilliant service and humour. The manager was chatty and often stopped to speak to each guest and see how they were. The rooms were huge and beautifully decorated with air con that was very much needed! The pool although on the small side was perfect for a dip, although the beach is a minutes walk away an is perfection! JJ is the beach chair man who rents out sunbeds an umbrellas, Cuz's fish shack is a must to visit, he serves up the best Marlin sandwiches and ice cold beer! For tours we went with Julian's snorkelling trip- Beach chair guys friend. He told us all about the island and took us swimming with the turtles and to see the sea wrecks. Food at the hotel was varied and delicious, being a fussy eater they also often catered for me if I disliked the choice that day. Over all the Island Inn is a beautiful hotel, with amazing staff, a perfect room, and a stunning beach. We will be back for sure! Thanks for having us x

Pocket Guide: Barbados St. Michael Hotels

The capital city of Bridgetown dominates St. Michael parish. Here, history thrives at several attractions. Built in 1654, the Bridgetown Synagogue is the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. Mount Gay Rum Refinery has distilled the spirit since 1703. British monarchs figure prominently in Parliament’s stained glass windows. Off Brownes Beach, divers explore shipwrecks in the Carlisle Bay.
