This is family run establishment. Very clean and quite. It is a short walk to the route of shared minivans (#11) for Bridgetown which costs less than US$2 and takes about 30/40 min.

My stay there was quiet and very serene, which was precisely what I needed after a very long year, along with a vacation. Ann Marie and Ameena took great care of me while I was there and while I was there I swam every day and hungout in the rear of the home while having a few drinks.

Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. Not quite as lively as on Friday, but still a lot of fun on Thursday night.) The pool and breakfast were both very nice. Very convenient to the airport (about 15 min away).

Hidden Gem is an oasis. A tranquil serenity comes over you as you enter the property. It is a very special home away from home with every detail thoughtfully thought out. I had a wonderful stay at Hidden Gem. Anne Marie and Ameena were wonderful hosts and very attentive to my needs, even reminding me of tours I had booked and informed them about when I first arrived. My room was well decorated and clean, and everyone was friendly. I would recommend staying here when visiting Barbados.

Inch Marlowe is a quiet neighborhood near the ocean and away from the traffic and bustle of Bridgetown. The pool and the large shared upstairs shaded balcony are wonderful places to relax after a day exploring Barbados. Breakfasts are bountiful and delicious! Wow…. This truly is a hidden gem. You expect the property to be clean, beautiful, with great facilities in a great location. What differentiates good from great are the staff. Hidden Gem Barbados exceeded all our expectations. Situated right by the sea, it offered a tranquil setting where we could hear the soothing sound of waves at night – an unbeatable location. Our room was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The manager, Ameena, was exceptional, providing invaluable tips on local attractions and events that truly enriched our trip. The hotel’s charming building and cozy ambiance made it an ideal retreat. Although we were initially concerned about transportation since the hotel is a bit removed from the town, we found the proximity to the final stop of the local minibusses to be a huge advantage. These minibusses were incredibly convenient, running every 5 to 10 minutes, and allowed us to explore nearby towns like Oistins and Bridgetown affordably. This ease of access made our daytime and nighttime outings from Hidden Gem effortless. While the coastline in front of the hotel isn’t suitable for swimming, getting to other renowned beaches via local transportation was simple and quick. Additionally, its close proximity to the airport made our departure seamless. Choosing Hidden Gem Barbados was the best decision for our trip. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience – we can’t wait to return!

This villa bed & breakfast is unique in the appearance and the interior design which is welcoming and tranquil. Anne-Marie and Ameena met us with open arms. The pool area is wonderful with a bar, a cabana to sit in the shade and lounge chairs for the sun. There is a huge veranda on the second level that looks out to the Atlantic Ocean with refreshing breezes! We also enjoyed and relaxed in the TV room. You would need a car, taxi or public transportation to get to restaurants but it is worth it for the serenity you return to at Hidden Gem. It really is a ‘Hidden Gem’.
