"Property was clean and staff was thoroughly professional. There is no air conditioning--only a problem as climate changes and if you're traveling with very senior parents. Very limited outlets in the room--none by the bed. A problem for modern travelers"

Lovely place to stay

"Great location and our room no 21 was very well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious with a power shower and very clean. We had breakfast which was superb value for money and the service outstanding. This is a pub/hotel full of character. The staff here are friendly and accommodating. We will be back"

Great stay at a lovely guesthouse.

"My partner and I recently had a wonderful stay at Victoria House. We were warmly greeted by Jan and she made us feel very welcome throughout. We also loved meeting her dogs, Oscar and Honey! The room was very comfortable and the house is in a great location. We used the regular local buses to visit nearby towns and to visit Snowdon. We had a great time in Caernarfon and if we visit again, we will certainly stay at Victoria House."

"Lovely apartment (suite 1) at the Black Boy Inn. I traveled with my adult son and the apartment was spacious enough for the two of us, with separate sleeping areas and adequate cooking facilities. What would have been even better is if my son’s bed had been made (he had the double sofa bed). I had to request linen and we made it ourselves. We cooked our own breakfasts and dinners and could have done with an oven dish and an extra frying pan. The shower could do with a door so the entire bathroom doesn’t get flooded. Also not very soundproof and nearby pubs clearly like to play loud bassy music until gone midnight, which will be an issue for some. No parking on site but public car parks available nearby. In fairness, these are all small things which wouldn’t put me off staying here again. Well worth considering if planning to visit North Wales, Caernarfon being a great location for Snowdon, Anglesey, Llandudno etc."

Idyllic stay

"Our stay was wonderful! We stayed with 2 dogs and another couple and everything we needed was met with ease. There were all the usual amenities and more! The lovely owners even left a bottle of wine in the fridge for us! It was a little difficult to find but they sent a lovely email with details directions which made it easy. We had a look at the animals on site which were all lovingly cared for and the orchard was lovely for a dog walk. We stayed in winter so didnt use many of the outdoor facilities but there was a bbq and outdoor seating which would be amazing in summer. We will definately be back! "

Beautiful Snowdonia Chalet in North Wales

Just what we needed!

"We booked very last minute and Karen couldn’t have been more helpful! We needed a base near Snowdon and this is a 15 minute drive away. The site itself is just what you’d hope : a bar ( Friday night was bingo!), a lovely river, the grounds beautifully kept and a well stocked shop with all sorts from loo roll to jewellery! The chalet was spotless, very well equipped and incredibly comfortable, with lovely touches that help to create that home from home feel. Parking was easy in September, we were immensely grateful for the very few steps up to the chalet due to mobility issues. We loved Caernarfon, it’s a 5 minute drive and a charming town with all you need. We had a great ( but too short) stay, thanks so much!"
