"I booked it through hotets.com and paid full payment. But once I reached there I was told to again pay in cash the full amount. They told me that I will be refunded the amount through hotels.com and they will email me the receipt. Neither did I received any email bearing the receipt of payment not did any amount recouped from hotels.com in my account. This is not at all acceptable. I emailed hotels.com about this issue but have got no reply.... "

While other hotels have been understanding of the unique circumstances of the pandemic, neither Beersbridge nor Expedia seemed to care.
