Pros: clean and tidy
Cons: kitchen area could have been stocked with utensils and crockery and cutlery for using .the tv \ telephone could have had instructions on how to use.
Location: hop on off bus tour around rome. tours round vatican and all other places off interest.
the hotel was convenient for the vatican and was close to area for tours and restaurants and cafes.not a great place to stay if you have problems with mobility as the short way has an area with steep steps.

A bit away from the main rome attractions

Posted 15-Jun-2015
It is closer to the Vatican attrations than the other main rome attractions. A bit of a walk down/up stairs to bus. The plumbing and electrial systems maybe old. The suite where we stayed had an old stove and the electircity went off when we were cooking. At the time of check-in they say not to touch certain switches in toilet, that if you do, the hot water will turn off and will take hours to get turned on again. The recpetion folks take care of basic needs, but not too open to chatting friendly with guests, they like to keep it very short and are always in a hurry. Toilet amenities; toilet paper, shampoo, soap etc., were not freely available. had to go down 2 days to ask for toilet paper. No shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. provided. The nice thing about it is the availability of a ref, stove to cook, and that it's a suite etc. value for money. But 4 euro per nite per guest additionally - not sure if all of Rome charges this rate. Heart of Rome is sure to have better deals closer to more attractions.

In aller Ruhe hinter dem Vatikan

Posted 09-Jun-2015

Nice Hotel

Posted 07-Jun-2015
Pros: Nice and quiet
Cons: More information on exact location and how to get to it
Location: Close to Vatican
The hotel was nice but the location was half way up a steep hill and not easy to find at first. Anyone with walking deficalties would need to use a taxi, there is a bus up the hill but the stops are at the bottom and top. The street is allways full with parked cars. For a fit person the hotel is within walking distane of the Vatican

5 minute walk to Vatican

Posted 04-Jun-2015
Pros: We had a little 2nd bedroom that we used basically as a changing room. But this would be perfect for families who would like 2nd bedroom for child.
Cons: Beds
Location: Vatican literally 5 minute walk Gellato everywhere !!
Simple hotel for those who don't stay in room long. Bonus had mini kitchen - we used refrigerator and extra sink for drinks. Bed wasn't the most comfortable ... But room was good to crash at end of long site seeing days.

Excellent hotel in a nice area

Posted 01-Jun-2015
Pros: Great location, comfortable room
Cons: n/a
Location: Really close to the Vatican City!
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is really close to the Vatican and St Peters Basilica which is what we wanted. We had the convenience of staying close to where we wanted and at the same time we had the luxury of staying in a quiet cosy area in a street with upmarket residence accommodation! The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately clean and tidy every day. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Rome!

Quiet Hotel Near the Vatican

Posted 29-May-2015
Pros: The room was clean for the price and the staff very helpful.
Cons: They could have their vending machines stocked with beverages and snacks.
Location: Quiet neighborhood, need to take a taxi to the big commercial stores to shops and attractios. Mostly souvenir shops and maybe clothing shops.
This hotel is located in the residential area, so the neighborhood was quiet. You can walk to the Vatican museums in about 15-20 minutes, but must take a 70 step staircase to get to the street level to walk to the Vatican and back to your hotel. You would need to take a taxi to get to St. Peter's Square because it's on the other side of the Vatican. You can still walk but depending on your age, would take you 45 minutes to 1 hour. There are a few nice restaurants to eat within a couple of blocks. The room was clean, the staff very helpful but you would need to purchase some food & drinks because there is no restaurant on site and the vending machines were usually empty. There are some areas you can do some shopping, but I would recommend getting a hotel near St. Peter's Square entrance where it's more commercial and nosy.
